Bondi May Need A Bond Soon – Where Is She?

Has anyone else noticed Pam Blondi is nowhere to be seen? We would think she ought to be around for the Minneapolis and Portland shootings. After all, people are going to need lawyers. It’s been a week, if not more, since we’ve seen her anywhere. Let’s say, curiouser and curiouser. With gratitude to Raw Story:

Donald Trump has grown increasingly dissatisfied with the performance of Attorney General Pam Bondi, which is putting her future in the administration in doubt, according to a Wall Street Journal report published Monday. The president believes Bondi is not moving quickly enough to prosecute his perceived adversaries and has failed to mitigate the Jeffrey Epstein cloud surrounding the White House. Bondi has become aware of Trump’s frustration, with her spokesman stating she remains focused on executing Trump’s directive to enhance public safety.

Y’know, it would be easier to prosecute his enemies if they put the AGs in correctly and didn’t rush them. What the hell was Trump thinking about the Epstein files? She couldn’t say they didn’t exist, not after a couple of things were leaked to the media. And she had 1,000 people going through the files to redact them. But there are literally millions of files! Someone ought to get Trump a pile of one set of downloads so he can *literally* see for himself how much they have to go through.

Bondi’s reduced visibility around the White House reflects her diminishing status with the president. According to the report, “Bondi has been less visible around the White House in recent months, White House officials said. She didn’t appear with Trump to announce the extraordinary capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, even though her agency was the one whose prosecution underpinned the arrest.”

It’s so strange. She’s trying to do what she’s told, and then all these AGs who were appointed have been found to have been appointed illegally. And it’s interesting that Trump has held onto that legal information. His brain is turning to mush. At a guess, he’s holding on to it because he wants his enemies jailed. He doesn’t realize it’s not that easy. Hell, if it was, *all* of us would be in jail, including him! (Now that’s a pleasant thought…..)

Behind the scenes, Trump has been collecting criticism of Bondi from his MAGA base and conservative influencers. According to the Journal, the president, “has also heard from conservative activists and influencers criticizing Bondi, and collected similar social-media posts that he has asked other aides about, the officials said.”

She’s caught in between a rock and a hard place. She can’t please everyone all of the time, so she’s getting clobbered all over the place. 99% of legal ‘stuff’ does NOT go fast, no matter how much Trump wants it to. Y’all can jump on me if you wish, but I kinda feel bad for her. Yes, she’s done a lot of crap things, but on the other side, she was set up to fail for what Trump demanded. Actually, Trump was expecting miracles from *all* of his cabinet. If someone was going to get ‘relieved of duties, ’ I was gunning for Hegseth. All of them have made a mess, but there are clear winners for ‘screw-ups,’ and one of them is definitely Hegseth. Sending planes out to bomb survivors, well …that’s major. That’s murder and *all* the boat strikes are up there battling for first place with Krispi Gnome and the murder of Renee Good. I rest my case.
