Looks like the DoJ is doing things on their own – and they’re essentially behind the scenes and behind the back of the White House. Now, we know about all the public nonsense, the best one being the failure to bring AG James up on charges a second and third time, being denied by a grand jury. We know about a couple of others purely for revenge. Trump splashed that all over Truth Social. Oops. So we have another short and sweet article, again with thanks to Raw Story:

In a series of interviews with Vanity Fair, Donald Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wiles revealed that the president was unaware the Department of Justice would transfer convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell to a minimum-security prison following an interview with her. According to the New York Times’ Peter Baker, Wiles made a series of “extraordinarily unguarded” observations about the Trump White House’s inner workings, including critical remarks about Attorney General Pam Bondi and Vice President JD Vance. During her conversation with interviewer Chris Whipple, the topic of the Jeffrey Epstein files naturally arose.

Uhoh. Donnie wasn’t told about something the DOJ did quietly, except for Ghislaine, in a minimum-security prison with a whole lot of perks, is big news. (She should have stayed where she was, child predator. Beeyotcch.) And also, apparently, Susie Wiles doesn’t know the cardinal rule of “choose your words carefully during interviews.” Well, why would she? Her work is done behind the scenes. (Behind the scenes, doing things without a camera stuck in your face is generally more fun and enjoyable.) She manages Donnie pretty well, and that takes a smart, smart person. Think about it.

Wiles attributed the decision to interview Maxwell to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Trump’s former lawyer, now serving at the Department of Justice. She stated that Trump had no knowledge that Maxwell would be relocated to a minimum-security facility. “The president was ticked,” Wiles recalled. “The president was mighty unhappy. I don’t know why they moved her. Neither does the president.” Wiles also claimed to have reviewed the Epstein files and asserted that they contain no incriminating information about either Trump or former President Bill Clinton.

Okay, not so sure about the Epstein files thing. We can bet that items will be pulled out of the files we’re going to receive, and Donnie’s name will be redacted everywhere. There are definitely things we won’t get to see, which royally sucks. We should have seen them right away, before 1,000 agents went through and scrubbed things. We *know*, thanks to Virginia’s courage, that Donnie was, and still is, a child predator. Did you note that other names weren’t mentioned? We already know Bannon was in the inner circle of Epstein’s friends. It should be fascinating to see how many people are listed. If there are even more redactions, we’re screwed.

Jared Kushner is a nasty piece of work, but now Ivanka can have time to spend with her kids doing non-governmental things. And she gets away from her father. I wonder if she was creeped out by what Donnie did, or if she was oblivious, which children *should* be, and is only learning about it now. How many of these people in his cabinet are going to be told to GTFOH when Donnie loses it? And if they do go, would someone worth a damn replace them? Only The Shadow knows. See you on the flip side!

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money, especially around the holidays. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

  1. From a distance, flames of a fire may look straightforward. In reality, fires have different forms – particularly in Trump’s house. Some less dangerous and controllable with simple methods – a daily occurrence, perhaps. By contrast a Trump crown fire is a dire hazard and create for Trump a very dangerous risk.

In the politics of Trump’s world a fire can occur at one or all of these three levels:

Surface fires: These burn only Trump’s floor and what’s on it. Preventing and controlling this type of fire is easier, and simply removing the cause will reduce any risk.

Ground fires: These burn beneath Trump’s surface.. Due to its nature, it is difficult to see, detect and control. There’s probably a few of these just rearing to grow and break the floor surface, and become a …

Crown fires: The dangerous, They start on Trump’s floor, and head upwards to the ceiling, rafters and roof. Due to the tight knit, vulnerability of those in Trump’s house, a crown fire will spread with speed – the denials, finger-pointing accusations, along with career and political
    damage being severe and permanent.

Hopefully Trump and his close knit inner circle will come to experience a succession of these fires, in the near future. It won’t need any ‘space lasers’ to ignite Trump’s political kindling. It should only take the contents of the Epstein files, regardless of how smudged the documents are – where there’s smoke there’s fire, isn’t there?

  2. Wiles, I’m pretty certain, is covering for Drumpf’s knowledge about the Maxwell deal. There is NO way that Drumpf would not know about it, especially considering ALL the blowback it got in the press after the transfer became public knowledge. Wiles is lying through her teeth to give Drumpf some “plausible deniability,” especially with the MAGAt base (who were just as pissed as the rest of us when the terms of Maxwell’s little “sweetheart” deal became public knowledge). It also gives Drumpf cover when he tells Blanche–probably via social media post–“You’re fired!”
Underlings, in Drumpf’s world, simply do NOT “go rogue” if they haven’t gotten Drumpf’s approval (or, at the very least, floated the idea to Drumpf, and if he didn’t directly say “no” to the idea, then they went ahead with it). I’m betting that’s EXACTLY how this “interview” with Wiles was planned. Wiles told Drumpf that she’d be saying some “not nice” things about him in the interview (like the “alcoholic personality”) but would be covering for him if the “E”-thing came up. (Has anyone heard ANYTHING at this time about Drumpf having a meltdown over the substance of Wiles’ interview? If we don’t hear something about Drumpf going ballistic, then he knew EXACTLY what Wiles would be saying and, um, “approved” the message.)

  3. In the same vein, I’m betting tonite’s broadcast is ditto distraction: whatever the topic, it will be setting up for headlines/talk show topics for the 18, 19th and into the weekend. Must check diary as to what’s on on the 19th
