I’ve said Trump would have a backup plan if Congress sent a bill compelling DOJ to release all Epstein files and politically he had no choice but to sign it. Even before his capitulation over the weekend he was already trotting out the Trumpty Oldies of FAKE NEWS, HOAX etc. However I also took note of pundits suggesting Bondi might reopen an investigation and use it as an excuse to withhold at least some files. Turns out they had good reason to say what they did.
Sure as shootin Bondi went before the cameras to announce the Epstein case she and the FBI declared closed four months ago was now open again. What a load of bullshit! However as you can see in this piece from Mediate the Epstein case is like one of those candles you blow out on a birthday cake and self-relights. Or perhaps some slasher film mass murderer who was dead and buried somehow becoming reanimated and able to run around causing more mayhem and bloodshed.
That’s probably a more accurate way to view this. The entire idea is to make the Trump/Epstein relationship like the CEO of MEGA Corps glancing at the ‘coffee boy’ bringing in fresh pots of java. Same for Trump ‘friends’, as in rich and powerful people (mostly men) who’ve helped him when he needed it. More importantly it will have the purpose of dragging as many prominent Democrats through the mud as possible. We know that’s all going to happen. We KNOW it.
More importantly at the moment is that with an “ongoing” “investigation” taking place Team Trump can try to bullshit Congress and judges that a whole bunch of files simply can’t be released because it would “compromise ongoing investigations.” Again I call bullshit. Bondi was like a deer in the headlights when pressed on why, four months AFTER an investigation that had lasted years and been closed (not to mention SCOTUS denying to hear Maxwell’s appeal so her only hope is a pardon or commutation) it WAS open again. She said they had new information. Really? We know that’s a load of crap due to the Trump style word salad she spewed out:
“Information that has come forward — information. There’s information that — new information, additional information and, again, we will continue to follow the law to investigate any leads. If there are any victims, we encourage all victims to come forward and we will continue to provide maximum transparency under the law,” she said.
Ok, so it wasn’t quite Trump level with references like ‘the very best information.’ ‘beautiful information,’ information ‘so good you won’t believe it’ etc. but maybe that’s what she’ll say to Congress when she sits down to dodge their questions. The plain fact is that Trump can either dream/make-up bullshit in what’s left of his rotting brain or pass along suggestions from minions. In the end though it’s all bullshit. Trump tells Bondi who to go after and what she’ll use as an excuse and she will do his bidding. But really folks it’s just more of what in the title picture that I’ll list here:

You get the concept. I’m sure Trump will want convictions but just forcing a bunch of enemies real or perceived to shell out a small fortune in legal fees will provide him a measure of satisfaction. However the important part will be to use all this as a distraction. Bondi might not be able to bottle up everything BUT she can provide Trump plenty of fodder to try and distract people.
We all fear of course that having roughly a thousand FBI agents go through the files FOUR times to flag mentions of Trump so they can be ‘sanitized’ will leave a whole lot of nothing. Yet if that’s true why the fight to keep ANYTHING from being released by DOJ? I think we are getting a taste of it already. I’ve written multiple times that Bill Barr was an evil genius and no doubt did a grand job of burying anything that hurt Trump. I doubt he put much effort into Trump associates however. I also don’t believe for a second Barr actually destroyed any evidence. He’s old and retired but only the good die young and he doesn’t want to face charges himself. Plus he’s got family still working at DOJ.
Bondi is no Bill Barr as I keep saying but she’s at least smart enough to have figured out Barr hid things and hid them well but didn’t destroy anything. She’s got a couple of problems. She can’t be sure despite her efforts and the resources she marshalled she found all the damaging stuff about Trump. Second, she can fire FBI agents who speak up about having been told to destroy evidence or alter things in a way favorable to Trump but as with Watergate the cover-up will wind up doing more damage than the crime.
But the NEW X-Factor is all that information Congress subpoenaed and got from the Epstein estate. (And if I’m not mistaken there’s even more) Plenty is already out that paints Trump and those who’ve been close to him in a bad light. Also, and it stunned me when I learned it back when AG Barr was ripping Epstein to shreds the government didn’t go really deep and seize every record they could. Clearly they left a LOT of stuff behind. Actual ‘receipts’ proving what Bondi released is incomplete or outright false is a real possibility.
Wouldn’t you love to have been a fly on the wall when Bondi had to tell Trump THAT? There’s more. There was a safe in Epstein’s NYC Brownstone that the FBI had to get safecrackers to break open. Inside was a trove of records and more importantly flash drives and CDs. All labeled with who was on them, doing what and to whom and when. Remember, Epstein had the place wired for sound and video, as was the case with his infamous island and surely the ranch out west too. There’s speculation other governments (Including Israel’s Mossad) have had agents break in and copy stuff.
I don’t for one second think what was in that safe was the only copy. Epstein, evil as he was also was shrewd and I have zero doubt he stashed away at least on backup of it all ‘just in case.’ Same with his other locations. For conspiracy theorists who believe Epstein was murdered in custody (and Trump wouldn’t have been the only high govt. official to want him gone – both here and abroad a LOT of people were nervous as hell) that possibility is a compelling reason to have had him killed. I’m on the fence.
However, Epstein’s estate probably still has enough money stashed away in numbered accounts in the kinds of countries who protect even the worst of people. Enough that there are those who don’t want to see a very comfortable living suddenly end because those banking havens find themselves under too much pressure. IF that’s the case the Epstein estate can produce more than enough to take him down. Impeached, convicted and hauled up on state charges. Well, that’s a longer topic.
The main point is that Trump needs a reason to keep holding back DOJ files on Epstein, AND a means of distracting people over stuff he can’t keep buried. I hope, I really do that Bondi finds herself having her law license revoked as this all plays out. Same for any DOJ lawyers she suckers into helping her carry out the travesty she intends to preside over.

The first time this has happened since two princes, sons of Queen Victoria, were likewise stripped of everything in 1917 when they were caught fighting for the German side in the First World War, when Titles Deprivation Act was introduced.
That’s the level of how serious this issue is – equivalent to treason.

Yes, Trump identified as a Democrat for a good while. Yes, he gave money to Democrats but Republicans too which is common with rich business owners and corporations. Hedging their bets in the most literal sense. Trump only became a Republican because it was a way to gain attention and do some grifting, and eventually run for office because he thought (correctly as it turned out) the Tea Party monster the Koch Brothers created could morph into something else with the right catalyst.
That turned out to be Trump’s MAGA message which he at first didn’t think would lead to political success. He saw it as a way to use politics and all those white “dittoheads” in AM radio country to get interested in a news/information channel HE wanted to launch. No one took his sudden primary success seriously until it was too late.

So what? WE won’t rally around them and try to protect them the way conservatives do with their own over sexual misconduct. WE will toss them into the wood chipper along with anyone else if there turn out to be Democrats, no matter how prominent that got girls from Epstein or knew what he and Maxwell were up to and willfully looked the other way for whatever reason.
Just look at what happened with Al Franken. He got tossed aside and forced to leave office and did NOTHING like Epstein did. Look up that infamous picture of the former playmate asleep on her back wearing a kevlar vest. He didn’t so much as touch her. He mugged a dumbass ‘boys will be boys’ grin posing for a tasteless picture. That, and a handful of women, not all of whom went on record saying they were ‘uncomfortable’ when he put his arm around them posing for pictures at public events was enough to condemn him. None of them claimed he grabbed a handful of boob even.
As someone who was once an admired athlete in my hometown and also playing JUCO basketball, and also someone in the performing arts who even had some starring roles I’ve posed for tons of pictures with fans. I never put my arm around a woman’s back unless she put hers around mine first. I also tried to go no further than the side of her waist. Alas, men are usually taller than women and I’m taller than the average guy. More times than I can remember as I was reaching a woman would pull me close and my aim would be a bit off. Sometimes when my hand was on their side they’d grab it and pullit all the way around, and yep, sometimes I’d wind up with a partial handful of boob. It always embarrassed me but my point is that posing for these “can I get a quick picture with you?” things can so easily lead to a slight unintended semi-feel.
Again, that’s all Franken was guilty of. And that picture. The playboy playmate admitted he’d never groped her and that they’d done the kissing skit during USO shows mutliple times. A LOT more goes on in a lot of those shows than that. Playmates sign up because they know their job is to flash some skin and tease the troops.

One last thing. If you haven’t skipped reading all this and started a reply about Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky I have several things to say. First, while Clinton didn’t pay at time time politically it wound up costing both Al Gore and his wife. Others paid those political dues.
Second, Lewinski wasn’t an underage teenager. She was a college graduate, and let’s be blunt – a GROUPIE. That Clinton didn’t recognize that and avoid her is a mystery and infuriating. Prior to going to DC she’d bragged to her friends about doing powerful men, ‘getting out the kneepads’ etc.! The attempts to confer retroactive virginity and innocence were as disgusting as Clinton cheating on his wife.
Wait. Cheating? Sort of I guess. While the Oval Office made for a sordid setting what they did amounted to backseat fumbling around like high school kids of my generation did fifty some years ago. In the category of TMI I never even got the half-assed blowjob Clinton got and neither did most guys I knew. It was stupid, It was wrong and he got dragged through the mud for it. But it wasn’t criminal like things were with Epstein’s victims. It was just stupid and flat-out wrong. On BOTH their parts. However make no mistake – she WAS a groupie wanting to hook up with powerful players and boy did she ever get what she thought back then she wanted.
However as I said Democrats were ok with Hillary forging a political career of her own, but only to a certain degree. She, and the country have paid a terrible price for that half-=assed blowjob and backseat fooling around. People’s ‘reasons” for not voting for Hillary really were I believe rooted in her having ‘stood by her man’ when so many women (and plenty of men too) thought she should have dumped is philandering ass. So, as i said others paid Bill Clinton’s tab but there WAS punishment and Democrats led it.
The bottom line is that Trump knew damn well who and what Epstein was (Maxwell too) and did nothing. Did he engage in some personal exploitation of underage girls supplied by Esptein himself? We may never know but there was a rape case invovling a 13 year old at Epstein’s NYC brownstone that she dropped because she and her family feared what pursining it could lead to. You can see him on tape (and more than once) bragging about being able as ‘pageant owner’ being able to walk into contestent’s dressing rooms (and he specifically mention that included Miss TEEN USA sometimes) and get to see them naked or half naked.
I look at some of those pictures of Ivanka on his lap before she hit her teens and one particularly nauseating one of him kissing her, not to mention his openly lusting for some incest with her multiple times (don’t kid yourself – when he said ‘dating’ her he MEANT f**cking her!) – sometimes with her sitting right there. Hell, after she introduced him at the 2016 convention and they had their brief (and normally it would be a typical thing for a candidate and daughter to do) he tried to grab a handful of ass! She knew her dad however and was prepared for such a thing and swatted it away before he could get in a really good “grope.”
