When DonOld gets an idea stuck in his head, he’ll do damn near anything to get it done.
What *is* it with this man and his grandiose plans? Why doesn’t he ever think of the logistics of something? Yes, I know he doesn’t think, but good grief, this one is ridiculous. And it’s not something we need to be doing.
Trump wants Gaza. Trump *really* wants Gaza, to the point he is *obsessed* with it and damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead! I know I’ve written about this before, but each day it gets worse and worse. He has now kicked it up a notch and has started threatening our allies to get it. You don’t use threats as a means of accomplishing anything because the country you are threatening is going to get resentful and eventually figure out how to kick you to the curb.
The Mango Mandarin is telling Jordan (and Egypt) he will withhold their aid if they don’t take the people of Gaza into their country to help clear out the land. That’s a low thing to do. I wonder if Jordan has a way to do without, or can find one, so they don’t have that hanging over their head to force them to do something they don’t want to do. I’m not even sure they have the capacity to take in a million or more people, people who will be resentful that they have been kicked off their land and away from what has been their home for many, many years. They’ve suffered so much over the years, too, and deserve to have their home back. But no, that isn’t what tRump wants.
The Confused Carrot thinks that the US can easily take over Gaza and build whatever it wants on the strip. I would think this isn’t something the US could do. And we’ll look even worse to the rest of the world for our ethnic cleansing. Our military would have to get involved because there will be a lot of resentment that people would be feeling. The project would need to be guarded, at the very least. Think of the countries around it. Think of organizations like Hama and ISIS. And think of our military getting into something where it doesn’t belong. That’s an awful long distance away.
So not only would there be huge issues with cleaning and building and so on for the strip itself – there would also be logistics involved for our military. They would need somewhere to eat and sleep and do military things. Everyone has to sleep sometimes, so, for example, that would mean multiple shifts and additional people needed. This isn’t easy and the Orangutan doesn’t or refuses to see that. He just has this image in his head of the Riviera of the Middle East.
Then what will happen if our military is fired upon? Now we’re looking at the possibility of losing American lives for something that doesn’t need to happen. We’re looking at the *waste* of human lives. Will we then end up getting into a war we do not need? We have enough troubles at home. We do not need to be in something thousands of miles from home.
Threats for our allies. tRump wants something he ought not have. But he’s damn determined. Is there a way to block him? Is there a way to keep our people at home? Seems like anything he wants, he gets. And that’s frightening.

Well, bear in mind that so did EVERY member of the GOP caucus of both the House and Senate. Haven’t seen or heard of too many of them standing up to support THAT oath over their fealty to Fearless Leader (in fact, they’re all more obsequious and toadying to Fearless Leader than Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale were to *their* Fearless Leader).
So now add Gaza to the list of countries scheduled for a US invasion.
Greenland, Panama, Canada. He’s going to have to reinstate the draft to recruit enough cannon-fodder.
I’m too old to serve, but I wonder how many MAGAts in red states will see their kids sent off to fight in one of his vanity wars.

I also wonder how many of Drumpf’s little bands of weekend “warriors” (including those scummy “OathKeepers” and “ProudBoys”) would be among the enlistees? I’d be willing to bet a whole lot of them would report to their draft boards with all sorts of “medical documents” showing how physically unfit they are to serve (of course, having seen pics from Drumpf’s rallies, all they’d probably have to do is just show up and they’d be turned away for being too overweight and out-of-shape).
