Elon Musk is reportedly heavily financing Donald Trump’s election, to the tune of $45M per month. That’s the figure Trump quoted. Who knows what is real? But one thing that we do know is that Musk doesn’t have a lot of taste or discretion, as you will see from a post which he chose to re-post to his millions of followers. It’s a Matrix take off and it depicts one presidential candidate, Trump, murdering the other, who happens to be the incumbent president of the United States. Here’s the video.

Yes, an assassination-themed video is amusing to Elon Musk one week to the day after an attempted assassination on Donald Trump. That is quite tasteless, as is the Obama and Zuckerberg innuendo, where they are all ganged up to murder the AI-generated Trump (clad in golden sneakers, no less.)
It’s bread and circus time, folks. Joe Biden addressed this reality a few weeks ago. He said that entertainment and politics were two separate things. But not since the Mango Messiah came down the escalator in 2015. Then they became one thing.

First of all, at least once in that video (I refuse to watch that traitorous filth again) those sneakers were more like gold stripper boots!
As for Musk, this is why it was a mistake for the government to have NASA (with bi-partisan support) turn over all stages of development of spacecraft to the private sector. Musk has assembled a brilliant team of engineers to be sure, and if not in manned space flight others like Boeing do too. However, have NASA people involved in the design and specs and contracting it out like they did from the time the old NACE became NASA, and having NASA personnle involved in the entire process of building and testing control has been ceded. Our manned space flight and most of our military communications ability are in the hands of one private sector individual who can do whatever the hell he wants whenever he wants.
For example he had his Starlink network shut down capability in Ukraine at a crucial point earlier in the war. Not a goddamned thing our government could do other than ask him to restore it because he controls so much else.
This is one of those issues that don’t get talked about but should. Musk, a private citizen with divided loyalties (I can’t help but think that while he’s acquired U.S. citizenship he resents the U.S. being supportive of bringing down the old South Africa white minority rule there. I believe he thinks the U.S. fucked him homeland to which he still feels considerable affection – at least for the old version. Now he’s acquired so much wealth and power he can, whenever he wants fuck us back. And he has sometimes. Worse, he intends to keep doing so. Only harder and more often.
Zuckerberg isn’t much better. If he’d wanted to bring online a genuine alternative to Twitter he could have. And didn’t. He has controlling interest but his company is public, not private like Twitter/X. But when it comes to control of information flow he wants the same thing Musk wants. NO regulation.
I have had the same concerns about Musk and NASA since 2010 when I worked in the Spce Shuttle Program at KSC. Don’t forget he is beholden to the Chinese Communist Party in order to continue his China Tesla Plant. This is a security risk because as a contactor to both NASA and the DOD he.has access to many highly sensitive if not secret information that the CCP or other adversaries would like to have. O a personal level I think Musk is the modern day Howard Hughes and we know how Hughes was hiding a serious mental disorder. Musk has self identified he has Aspergers, suffers from depression and self-medicates with numerous legal and illegal substances.
I’m struck by Musk’s comment that it’s the “best AI video to date” 🤯 The hell you say! That is some major low-quality work! Trump’s lapels appear and disappear at random; his coat is buttoned or not; his tie has a life of its own. Everybody’s head becomes detached at some point. The whole thing looks about as well-designed as a Tesla Cybertruck! 🤨
