I don’t think Jared Kushner, aka “My Star” as his father-in-law called him, has any idea what he actually said during an interview today. I can only think that he meant it a different way, or maybe it was a Freudian slip and he let more out than he intended to. But this is hilarious. Jared told us to expect the first Trump administration on steroids — at least so far as competence and professionalism are concerned — in a second Trump administration. And guess what? He won’t be a part of it, if asked. He’s too busy spending Saudi money. Axios:
Why it matters: Kushner served as one of his father-in-law’s top advisers for four years, but he told Axios’ Dan Primack that he plans to keep working in private equity from his base in Miami even if Trump wins in November.
What he’s saying: Kushner said he had commitments to his investors and employees, and that his “desire at this phase in my life is to focus on my firm.”
- “I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity as a family to be out of the spotlight … and so we’ve both really enjoyed the opportunity to be down here in Florida with the kids.”
- Kushner seemed to leave the door open slightly by noting that “nothing in my life has gone according to the plans I’ve set,” but affirmed when pressed by Primack that if Trump called with a job offer he would say no.
Kushner said Trump’s presidential bid in 2016 “really was a family campaign,” whereas now the former president has “a very professionally run campaign” with a strong team around him.
- “I was very fortunate to play a role in the campaign and then join him in the administration,” he said.
- “I suspect that if he gets into office again, he would have just a level of competence and professionalism, even more so than it was in the last administration.”
Okay, class, we’re going to analyze this sentence here, in plain English. Didn’t the man just say that the “level of competence and professionalism” would be “even more so” “than it was in the last administration,” which means that we can expect THAT level of competence, what we experienced before, and EVEN MORE of the SAME? Because if that’s what the man is saying, we are all SOL.
And never let it slip your mind that Trump intends to gut the Civil Service as it presently exists and fill it with Trump loyalists — and none other than the Heritage Foundation is on board for that, with their Project 2025. Remember that jewel? The four pillars of Project 2525? “The project is built on four pillars “that will, collectively, pave the way for an effective conservative Administration,” (Project2025.org). These four pillars are the Policy Agenda, Personnel Database, Training, and the 180-Day Playbook.”
Hit this link and check it out. It’s going to be the Trump broom sweeping clean and no, I don’t know if that means that Medicare doesn’t get paid, Social Security checks don’t get cut or even if the White House light bill gets paid. What I know is this philosophy:
It is not enough for conservatives to win elections. If we are going to rescue the country from the grip of the radical Left, we need both a governing agenda and the right people in place, ready to carry this agenda out on Day One of the next conservative Administration.
This is the goal of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project. The project will build on four pillars that will, collectively, pave the way for an effective conservative Administration.
Apply now, conservatives are encouraged, because Trump’s “only the best people” is going to be a real wingding. You don’t want to miss it.
The project is the effort of a broad coalition of conservative organizations that have come together to ensure a successful administration begins in January 2025. With the right conservative policy recommendations and properly vetted and trained personnel to implement them, we will take back our government.
The 2025 Presidential Transition Project is being organized by The Heritage Foundation and builds off Heritage’s longstanding “Mandate for Leadership,” which has been highly influential for presidential administrations since the Reagan era. Most recently, the Trump administration relied heavily on Heritage’s “Mandate” for policy guidance, embracing nearly two-thirds of Heritage’s proposals within just one year in office.
Paul Dans, former chief of staff at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) during the Trump administration, serves as the director of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project. Spencer Chretien, former special assistant to the president and associate director of Presidential Personnel, serves as associate director of the project.
The good news is that Jared Kushner won’t be there, but you know Stephen Miller and Jason Miller will, and don’t count out Steve Bannon. His return is extremely likely, particularly since Kushner won’t be there. The two men hated each others’ guts.

I think Yeats summed it up way back:
“… The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?”
(The Second Coming)
