In yet another entry from the You Can’t Make This S**t Up category we have a doozie. Trump lawyer Alina Habba was on Newsmax with Matt Gaetz guest hosting to claim that “bad” headlines about Trump are election interference! I urge you to check out the link and watch for yourself (it’s a short clip, about a minute) but here’s a text version:
“Every headline that comes out in media — I don’t even know if I would recognize the Daily Beast as a valuable media source — but the Daily Beast, you know, they come out with these leaks and, you know, I read a little bit more reputable newspapers, but listen, they come out with this for a reason, and everything is done in specific timing. Headlines are done for election interference. Watch.
We know that Hunter’s associate was supposed to come out and testify on Monday, I heard now he may not be doing so, but watch, they’ll come after Trump again around the same time so that, again, they say, ‘Look at the shiny ball, guys. Don’t look over here. We don’t want you to see it. We wanna give you another headline.”
Really? This from Team Trump, which for years has had the benefit of a major television network (Fox) and other outlets from print crap like The New York Post to Newsmax (which used to have a bigger reach) trashing Democrats, including and especially Joe Biden.
Somehow I rather doubt Ms. Habba would consider any of THAT “election interference.” Also, it’s not like there’s not a boatload of examples of Trump trying to steal the spotlight with bullsh*t attacks on Biden (and others) with outrageous lies, attacks etc. or trying to blunt the impact of bad news he has known was about to become public. I’m reminded of an acronym that made the rounds for a while but lost favor:
IOKIYAR – It’s Okay If You’re A Republican
What it all boils down to is her saying WE get to shout “SQIRREL” or “SHINY OBJECT! LOOK!” any damn time we want. Hell, Hunter Biden “scandal” has been Trump’s/our “go to” for years now. But everyone but RWNJ outlets are “meanies” for telling the truth on Trump with headlines that report factual news about something he’s done, or new troubles (especially legal ones) that come up. It’s just soooooooooo UNFAIR!
Here’s a wild thought Ms. Habba should ponder – if Trump (and you) don’t like bad headlines he should have done bad sh*t! And keep on doing so!
It never ceases to amaze me that GOPers believe they are the only ones that get to throw punches. That they are genuinely shocked when they get punched back. I for one am sick of it. If the truth hurts, especially seeing it reported then too effing bad. Crawl back in the freezer before you melt SNOWFLAKE!

To which the response should be,
‘You’re right, it is unprecedented, no other President committed as many crimes as he did. We’ve never had to do this before and we’re doing it now so we don’t have to ever do it again.
Well former guy, I guess you’d better stop creating the circumstances that result in bad headlines so you can do something positive for your campaign.
