Donald Trump was the star of CPAC, naturally, giving the keynote speech, albeit to a crowd that was hardly “monster” as promised. The first hour was pure grievance, potshots at Biden, his legal problems are unjust, and life was awesome when he was in the White House.
This is after he dazzled them in a video released concurrently with CPAC where he shared dreams of “Freedom Cities” a flying car in every driveway and a lobster in every pot. That’s not a quote, that’s a translation of his Hooveresque promise to upgrade the standard of living for all Americans by quite a lot, with baby bonds, a home for every American, Utopia right around the corner.
You weren’t here for the Hoovervilles but you’ve read about them. It’s spot on that Trump is invoking Hoover. That’s one of the most self-aware things he’s done, except that he was totally unconscious of the link between himself and Hoover when he did it.
So that was the appetizer. But the red meat course was served when Trump started talking towards the end of his CPAC speech about the deportation of aliens. In his version of our immigration issue, countries use the U.S. as a dumping ground, and send Hannibal Lector-esque people here on purpose from their insane asylums.
Not only insane asylums but prisons as well.

He also promised to get rid of “racial discrimination” by the government. I’m surprised he didn’t say gender discrimination as well. The MAGA types love to believe that women are simply given jobs because they’re women, and it’s unfair and “woke” to let them work. The truth of the matter is that they’re finally allowed to compete for jobs they were barred from even applying for in the past, and they’ve had to work twice as hard to get where they are.

That is NOT the adrenaline shot to the heart Trump got from his MAGA rallies. But that’s what he expected. His fury over the room not being packed to the gills is off the charts tonight. Still, this is Trump and he’ll delude himself into thinking his crowd was much, much more and more energetic than it actually was: “It was the BIGGEST crowd that ever heard anyone speak! MASSIVE! People were fighting outside to get close. And it had the BIGGEST on-line and TV viewership in history! BILLIONS of people around the world watched! ‘People’ say the cheering was so loud everywhere that even people inside their homes could hear everyone in their towns and cities cheering!
Expect something like that on his pathetic social media site tomorrow, if not before the night is over. And the hell of it is, the dumbass goobers in MAGA world will eat that shit up with a spoon cause they’re so into the cult anything Trump tells them they believe, they KNOW it’s true. He’s got the biggest cult in history.
A deportation operation. Sounds like something that will be done basically to get rid of everyone not stepping in lockstep with the magat leader’s wishes. Hope the idiots know how to keep the trains running on time with more than one half of the country deported.
