“Hell has just frozen over,” intones a *journalist* at the Christian Broadcasting Network, which is none other than Pat Robertson’s old stomping grounds. It’s a shame that Robertson still isn’t on this side of the grass because it would be amusing to see what that old crackpot thinks of the way that MAGA is unravelling. We don’t have Robertson anymore, hell, we don’t even have Pat Buchanan. Well, Buchanan is still breathing but he retired from publishing his right-wing views two years ago, so we are left to wonder. Maybe give him a call, for laughs? See what he makes of this?

Sounds like the troops are a trifle confused. Marge did say that she would be back when the time was right, kind of like Douglas MacArthur. And maybe Marge will return. What we do know for a fact is that she has a vested federal pension as of January 3, 2026 and she’s resigning two days later on January 5, 2026. Convenient how that works out, isn’t it?

What a five years it has been. Marge started out with pure rage, believing that everybody was beneath her, and in possession of a superiority complex only rivalled by Nancy Mace. Marge literally kicked people out of her way in the beginning and she told reporters to “fuck off” when they asked about Jewish space lasers.

In recent months Marge has mellowed out a bit and even seemed to be part of the big Democratic tent when she went on record as being in favor of the release of the Epstein files. Now Marge is going so until she decides to favor us with her future plans, speculation is all that we have.

Even Pat Robertson would approve of these two loonies, despite the fact that they both have one disqualifier, which is that they are female. Even as insane as this world, and MAGA, has shown itself to be, I don’t see a Greene/Boebert ticket prevailing when the likes of Hillary or Kamala could not. The sheer irony here is that both Greene and Boebert are religious loons and so you would think that would get them the religious vote. It won’t. They are both as far as they’re going to go in politics.

Boebert may continue in office if no decent Republican (yes, I know, it’s an oxymoron) can primary her or if no Democrat can overcome the simple voting reality of the deep red district she’s in. Boebert is another Jim Jordan, incompetent as they come but magically protected in a way that so many other congressmen and women are not. It is one of the few flaws in a democratic system, that deep red districts can produce and keep the worst candidates humanly imaginable.

As for Greene, she initially wanted to run for the Senate and Trump allegedly told her don’t do it, you can’t win. I suppose it is possible that Greene will ignore him, perhaps figuring that now that she’s publicly broken with Trump that she will be appealing to Georgians statewide. It would be interesting to see if she gives that idea a whirl.

Marge said during her resignation video that, “There is no plan to save the world, there is no 4D chess game.” How much you wanna bet that Marge will come up with both? I seriously think so. I think her ego is such that she simply could not handle Trump turning on her and so she decided to beat a hasty retreat.

But what prevents her from saying that she has had a divine vision at some point down the road and God told her that she’s meant to run for the Senate? Or some other post, maybe governor of Georgia? I don’t see Marge as being done with politics. I see her as rebranding herself. Bigly. Wait for the new and improved Marge, live from the petri state any old time now.

Then the question will become, “You can take the girl out of MAGA but can you take the MAGA out of the girl?” There’s going to be a surprise ahead, and maybe the one who is surprised will be Marge. Again. Trump may have done her a favor by telling her what her limitations were (worship him or die) and maybe she’ll find out that that is indeed the case.

Should be interesting in any event. Stay tuned.

Not really sure how she can run. Sure, she can run in the GOP primary for Senate (or Governor) as she’d planned before BUT Drumpf had already suggested he wouldn’t support her (possibly suggesting he’d support someone else) and if he wasn’t willing to support her before, what makes her think she’d prevail in a GOP primary over a candidate with Drumpf’s support?

Hell, Margarine’s chances of winning a statewide post–with or without Drumpf’s blessing/backing–are minimal because the rest of Georgia sees her for the crazy she is. She fled her original stomping grounds (she planned to run in the 7th but began in the 6th which had a Dem incumbent and where she actually lived) because she didn’t think she could win in a primary with several GOP candidates (and both the 6th and 7th ended up electing Dems to the House) so she ran to a safe “red” district that didn’t have anyone already lined up to replace the retiring incumbent (the primary contest showed her far-right looney credentials and it showed the dangers of “sitting out” elections–Margarine only won 40% of the primary, forcing her into a run-off where she won fewer votes but nearly 30% of the sane primary voters stayed home for the run-off so she ended up winning) and the only Dem who’d been running had to drop out and there wasn’t enough time to replace him (yet he still got 1/4 of the general vote).

So . . . if she did run as a GOPer and lost (which is likely–I can’t imagine GOP voters in the “blue” areas would vote for her), well, Georgia prohibits a candidate from running under another party’s banner so she’d have to wage a write-in campaign (effectively stripping away enough GOP voters to elect or retain the Democratic candidate).

Drumpf may not have as much sway as he once did, but there are enough MAGAt faithful who’ll still vote for whomever he chooses to support (which will be the candidate most willing to swear undying loyalty to Drumpf–and there WILL be at least one).

    • Everything you’ve said makes complete sense to me. I think that timing is a key factor here. Marge did say she would return and that may happen at some point where she believes that she can overcome being exiled from MAGA.

Or, another alternative, Marge may be away from politics and politics may move on and that’s that. We’ve seen that happen in the past as well. Anything is possible.

I don’t think she’s got a lot of statewide appeal. She spent five years being a MAGA lunatic and maybe thirty days being sane and asking for the Epstein files to be released. Not sure that one action is going to cancel out all the previous crazy.
