Mad King Donald lets a lot of things slip in conversation. Many’s the time people simply do not know what he’s talking about, but they don’t follow up on it for the simple reason that he’s usually confused and discombobulated. But today he made a comment that we should pay attention to because it affects our national security, potentially. Let’s put it this way, taking a wrecking ball to the White House is an endeavor that was fraught with peril to begin with and Trump is too much of a dummy to understand all that is involved. Now it sounds like we might be up the creek and of course Trump isn’t going to admit anything like that.

Paid for by him and a “couple of other donors.” Uh huh. And it’s coincidental that this $200M or $300M edifice is being constructed at a time when Trump has demanded the DOJ see that he gets $230M in “damages” for the “stollen” 2020 election? Are we all tracking on the same page here?

Why indeed. This makes no sense. There are places to dance all over Las Vegas and I doubt that the military had anything to do with them. But here’s a theory.
My guess is that this fucked up the emergency operations center under the White House. The military will have to rebuild the communications infrastructure.

The emergency operatiosns center. The bunker. All of that. Hell, Trump probably wiped out even the freaking bowling alley in the basement and I think there may have been an indoor pool at one time but don’t quote me.
So the White House could now be compromised. This is all speculation but you must admit it’s a theory that fits the facts. Trump did just now say that the military was involved. And that means that Pete Hegseth is involved and that means we are totally screwed.
Well, look at it this way: Putey probably won’t invade in the middle of the night because why should he? He’s got Trump backing him on Ukraine and Putey’s useful idiot is destroying the country from within, as planned, so Russia really has no reason to aggress against the U.S. and the White House specifically.
But that’s Russia and who’s to say who else in the world might decide to do something?
For the want of a nail the kingdom was lost and for the want of a ballroom with gold gee gaws, the republic might be lost. Sounds paranoid, I know. But I honestly believe at this point that the White House security has been severely compromised, so anything can happen.
Some of you military types here might chime in and give us a hand figuring this out.
Expect the real cost of this abomination to hit a billion soon, and trump can lift it out of the Pentagon’s trillion dollar budget, no input on his part required.
When you say “real cost” I assume you’re including the grifting factor? Remember, this man managed to bankrupt a casino, a cash business. And he would have done it much sooner than he did but his father kept bailing him out, until he got sick of doing so.
Remember ten years ago when Trump claimed he would be a President who couldn’t be bought because he would NOT take donations to fund his campaign? His ‘I’m really, really rich” crap talk combined with promised he’d “self fund” the whole thing? I doubt even a lot of his MAGAs believed that horseshit, and just as the majority knew would be the case he didn’t spend a single dollar of his own money. If I’m not mistaken he loaned his campaign some money at one point but donations allowed it to easily get paid back to him.
So, anyone who believes for even a second that Trumpty will spend one freaking dime of HIS own money on the massive vanity project is a phucking idiot.
Perhaps he plans to use military resources to build his golden throne room and then he can charge the full cost to taxpayers and keep all the “donated” money for himself. We all knew HE wasn’t ever going to pay for it! It will make a nice venue for trials, plenty of room for onlookers. 🤞
Ballroom – following in the Führer’s footsteps: Adolf Hitler had a bunker complex constructed beneath the Reich Chancellery in Berlin, and it was located directly beneath a large reception hall and BALLROOM.
When the East Wing was redone during WWII care was taken to preserve the original intent of it being an entrance for visitors and to allow for creation of eventual creation of a museum like aspect to it. But that’s when, in addition to all the new office space a bunker/basement was added as well as a two story structure being built above ground.
As for that bunker it would become the PEOC, Presidential Emergency Operations Center or as it’s more commonly called the Situation Room. It’s well underground and shielded but has all kinds of communications going in and out over secure, encrypted means. And a lot of that equipment, or at the very least some of those actual physical equipment be it remote, or backup landlines of copper and fiber optic could be affected. Maybe even vulnerable. That’s why the military has to be involved.
Here’s what scares me and it gets a bit complicated. We know damn well part of why Trumpty stole all that classified material and took it to Mar A Lago was so he could “monetize” it. Sell it. Don’t think for one second Trumpty doesn’t have designs on being able to do the same with information coming in and out of that facility in the future, especially if he lives and has to again leave the WH. Enter first term Cabinet Secretary Betsy DeVoss, or more precisely her brother Erik Prince.
Quick history lesson. I actually knew both Commander Richard Marcinko who created SEAL Team Six. Not well but we had interactions. (I also knew a guy who wound up serving in Marcinko’s famous Red Cell team that created headaches around the country and world showing security vulnerabilities) There were actually only two SEAL Teams when Marcinko’s project was approved One based on the east coast at Norfolk and one on the West Coast at Coronado. He name the new team “Six” as a way of confusing our enemies. (It worked btw) Anyway among the things he had carte blanche on was selecting every part of the team from actual SEAL special operators to admin folks.
Marcinko didn’t want the typical, easily identifiable as military clean cut types. Oh, they had to be SEAL tough and fit as hell and it would be obvious is you saw them with only shorts or swim trunks on, but he wanted guys who could in his words be “dirtbags.” Guys with union skills that could blend in as dockworkers or other trade types. Why does that matter. Erik Prince’s infamous Blackwater has gone through some name changes for a reason (a bad one) BUT the backbone is the cadre of former Spec Ops types. And more than a handful of them are of the type Marcinko sought for SEAL Team Six, a practice which expanded withing the Teams.
Trump would be able, as long as Prince got HIS cut (he does most of his business in other countries now and direct, real time access to top U.S. intel would be priceless for him) he could infiltrate his own people into the workers retrofitting the underground communications network and even the replacement East Wing. All those rich business people with too much alcohol in them would spill all kinds of juicy tidbits that could be used to make money in stocks and other business dealings. That whole ballroom will be one giant microphone!
But in the end you’re right to be worried because that underground bunker is the most secure spot in the world. And Trump can order Hegseth to install “advisors” who will do their own thing including getting Prince operatives hired for the constuction phase.
All the more reason, Denis, that when Dementia Donny is gone, the whole ‘ballroom’ will have to be demolished, and like the US Embassy in Moscow, replaced, to make up for the espionage and national security considerations compromised during it’s construction. That would be a good time to rebuild the East Wing as it was a month ago, for historical continuity.
