My favorite image of Peter Navarro is him leaving the White House with a framed picture and a small box of personal items, dogged and defeated, while still claiming on right-wing media that the election really hadn’t been lost by Trump and he would return in the near future. That picture may have found a new home on another wall but it emphatically has not gone back to any White House office of Navarro’s. History has closed the book on that chapter.
Navarro was ranting recently on the show of yet another White House tenant, Steve Bannon, and he was particularly animated.

There are a few reasons why this is important. First and foremost, the investigation started, as investigations always do, in the outer circles. Now that it’s getting to the level of Marc Short and other Pence aides, the buck is getting ready to stop.
Short knows where all the bodies are buried. Short supplied the January 6 Committee twith hat absurd memo drafted by Johnny McEntee which compared Trump to Thomas Jefferson. Short likely has more of the same in his possession.
Short is also loyal to Mike Pence. Pence is being called “the Manchurian Candidate” as a way of describing how he’s being used as a puppet by the left, possibly even by Marc Short. Remember, we’re dealing with Peter Navarro here, conspiracy theory is never more than a heart beat away.
Beyond Marc Short are other Pence aides and finally, there is Pence himself. It has not been determined whether Pence is going to be asked to testify. Pence’s recent revelation to the Federalist Society that “Trump is wrong” may be the signal that he is ready to testify and lay all of this to rest.
Pence could lay it to rest. Pence could testify how he was approached by John Eastman, Rudy Giuliani, the lot of them and Pence could also testify as to how he researched the matter himself and found no existing legal bases for what he was being asked to do.
Pence’s testimony might be what is necessary to give the nation closure on this issue. And frankly, it might not do Pence’s career any harm. I still believe he’s finished in politics insofar as running for office again, at least if that office is that of president, but Pence might enjoy a certain emeritus grise presence in Republican circles if he plays his cards right.
Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon know all this as well as anyone. And that is why they were none too happy when Short testified and they will not be happy when other aides do so as well. And heaven forfend Pence testifies himself. And that may happen. There’s at least a 50/50 chance of it.
Bannon has already been indicted and who knows what Navarro said or did that first week of January that could land him behind bars? He knows, that’s who, and that’s why he’s plenty animated and plenty nervous. The sharks are circling closer.

Plenty nervous? He seems wound up tighter than a cheap watch. He seems quite scared and probably for good reason.
Navarro may be in legal difficulties for his own actions, outside of the election.
50% chance? Curious who the odds makers are on this one. There were plenty of chances for Pence to take over the whole shebang-former guy gave plenty of chances for that idiot that he was. Pence did not take advantage of the opportunities right in front of his nose. He was offered the best one when the entire flipping cabinet wanted to declare former guy crazier than a shit house rat. Let’s face it, Pence gave his balls to Mother and she ain’t giving them back.
I tend to 100% agree with you on this…..
