      • I understand, Dino. And it’s not a slam on Winters. I just like being absolutely sure of my facts. To do otherwise is to slip into CT territory.

          • Yeah, yeah, I saw what you did there. 😉 I would add, however, if the Trump crew pulled this off, there’s a 90 to 100 percent chance we’ll know everything by the end of the month (which is I don’t think they did).

          • If foul play was involved there’s a wide suspect pool to look at. I get the tendency to jump to Trump but the most he might have done was utter a fucked up version of “will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest” and word got around to someone with the right connections in low places. But again I remind folks that Trump wouldn’t have had to do even that because plenty of other rich, powerful and well-connected (with not all those connections being savory) are implicated in the Epstein case. A LOT of people wanted him silenced and permanently. IF Trump was stupid enough to say out loud to a crony he wished Epstein was dead, or had died after whatever happened in July happened I’m sure he was told to STF and that it was damned near certain someone would make sure Epstein was silenced if he couldn’t manage to silence himself via suicide.

          • I didn’t suggest that. If he didn’t off himself the guards and other inmates might have helped him out.

There are plenty of people who wanted him dead, I’m sure…

          • Yeah, there’s no shortage of suspects to be sure. The point behind my suggestion was that if we don’t find out exactly what happened by month’s end to Epstein, we’ll know it wasn’t Trump…and that one is solely MY suggestion, no one else’s.

          • Plenty of people with veeery deep pockets, quite willing to ‘help’ other people with much shallower pockets, ‘benefit’ enormously from his death.
I do hope someone follows all the money trails.

          • ONLY if you make suppositions unsupported by the available facts. H.L. Mencken, as he often did, had a quote to cover such a logical fallacy: “For every complex problem, there is a solution that is simple, neat and wrong.” It’s not a bad thing to keep in mind.

          • I have a very strong suspicion that there will be a dearth of verifiable facts and a preponderance of available ‘facts’.

          • To be sure, much will likely be hidden. But it’s a bad practice to confuse what one suspects with what one actually knows for sure. Not saying you’re wrong to be suspicious but CT tends to turn into tribal myths when those suspicions are mistaken for facts. Leave that nonsense to the Trumpists, I say.

          • With so many people with a vested interest in obfuscation, including those in, and with, the authority to investigate, (and who have already demonstrated they are economical with any truth), I will be very very surprised at any ‘facts’ becoming clearer rather than murkier, at least in the short term. Just look at Barr’s ‘report’ and ‘summation’ of the Meuller investigation.

          • Bad example, given how the full text of the actual Mueller report is both available and being acted upon…and it took very little time for either of these things to be. And anyone associated with this administration is pretty much a potential leaker willing to fill in the blanks. So I’m sorry but I’m going to have to disagree. Criminal prosecutions may be dubious things to count on but the majority of the truth coming out.

          • Oh you’re quite right, in the long term the truth will out. In the short term the many with vested interests will be doing their damndest to blur any clarity and posit false clues and outright lies. In the long term the truth will out, in the short term, it’s all about the messenging and implanting narratives and spin.

  1. Well, there you go, the guy was stopped from doing it before, so who’s the freaken criminal that allowed that to happen, and what connections did they have with Epstein’s money or our guilty as sin POTUS, or the mob, or big money ANYWHERE? There were SO MANY people being called out in the unsealed documents … the combined power as well as wealth among those names is astounding!! [Internationally as well as locally] The Saudi’s have been known over the years to traffic in young girls as playthings, so Epstein probably was thinking about being slashed and sawed up by their portable death squad …

  2. One thing we do know. His death lets a lot of sickos and perverts breathe easier now from the Donald on down. And he was in DOJ custody.

  3. Perhaps that was the agreement. If I were Epstein, I would definitely want to kill myself, looking at the no-future he was facing after decades of living life with no limits.
