This is insane. This is frightening. This is ridiculous. This is unbelievable. And those are only a few of the words for what Trump said at a rally in Nebraska. He is truly, blatantly losing his mind. But he’ll get no pushback because Republicans and SCOTUS are attached to him at the hip. If former President Biden had said this, he would have been out the door so fast he was a blur. But Trump can say things, and they get blown off as “oh, that’s just Trump”.
This doesn’t need to be blown off. This needs all the attention possible, because something he said is so horrific as to leave us with our mouths hanging open. It is stunning, and it needs to be in the news far and wide, because it’s a statement that is damn near apocalyptic. He doesn’t think about what will happen to the world if his open invitation is accepted. He doesn’t think about what will happen to America if his wish comes true.
We need to pay attention to him. If there were only a way to get the result of Trump’s invitation to take out LA and San Diego to his ‘cabinet’, they might actually finally invoke the 25th Amendment on him. It should have been done a long time ago, but his ‘cabinet’ is filled with sycophants who love their cushy jobs and want to keep them. How they can be so willfully blind is beyond me, beyond us.
With a great deal of recognition for Raw Story:
President Donald Trump horrified countless onlookers Monday night after openly encouraging Iran to “take out” two major U.S. cities, adding that doing so would be a “very small price to pay” for “keeping the world safe.” Speaking during his rally at Pinnacle Bank Expo Center in Grand Island, Nebraska, Trump admitted that U.S. prices were “a little bit high” amid his war against Iran, but insisted that the deeply unpopular conflict would be “over with very soon.”
“It’s a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe! They can take out a city, let ‘em take out Los Angeles, let ‘em take out San Diego! This is a very small price to pay, and it’s gonna be over with very soon,” Trump said, eliciting cheers from attendees.
Cheers. They cheered him. For offering Iran an opportunity to attack two major US cities. What the hell is wrong with this picture? The *president* of America telling an enemy to assault two cities. Now, we know it wouldn’t be that easy because we have a military presence there, and anything Iran might try would be intercepted before they got anywhere close to California and the West Coast.
But that doesn’t account for sleeper cells. We need to consider everything when discussing this. Since they don’t have access to nukes, thank heavens, it would have to be done another way, which would be much less likely than one might think, because it would be incredibly difficult to arrange something that could take out a major city. They do have submarines, but they are noisy and, again, would be stopped before they got anywhere close to the coast. At this time, they do not have nuclear missiles that we know of.
Nevertheless, the point remains that Trump sent an open invitation to Iran to wipe out two major cities in America. This is psychotic. This is crazy. Why is he still in office? And what is the matter with the people who cheered him? We are currently stuck sitting on the sidelines and watching in horror. The president of America wants to wipe out two major cities.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
