Is anybody running any part of the government nowadays? We know that top management, i.e., the cabinet and the president and vice-president, is helmed by amateurs. We’ve seen Linda McMahon display ignorance of artificial intelligence, we’ve seen Pete Hegseth and Mike Waltz invite a reporter onto a classified war plans exchange, we’ve seen Howard Lutnick display his ignorance of both manufacturing and tariffs any number of times. J.D. Vance can’t pick up a trophy without breaking it and Trump breaks everything he comes into contact with. But isn’t there somebody in the lower echelons who know how things work? Apparently not. Take a look at this.
I suspect this is going to show up in a variety of court pleadings. Whoever thought this was cute at the time may be less giddy when this becomes evidence of intent to disobey a court order. pic.twitter.com/87EI2OTjM9

Let’s unpack this starting with the obvious: Either the person making this post is in charge of making policy, which is doubtful even in this madhouse of a mis-administration, or the poster has heard it said in the White House that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is “never coming back” and felt comfortable bragging about same. I opt for the latter. And if that’s the case, then that is direct disobedience of a court order, which is not only illegal, it is something that Trump vowed never to do. (Not that Trump’s “vows” are worth a hill of beans, but it is on record that he said that, and worth noting.)

The effort will be made to beat the courts into submission, in all events. That we have seen. Stephen Miller is claiming that the U.S. “cannot forcibly retrieve” Mr. Garcia, which is missing the point by a country mile.
“Mr. Miller. You mentioned [Salvadoran President Nayib]Bukele and the fact that Garcia is now in El Salvador’s custody. But the question is, has president Trump expressed any interest at all in seeing Garcia moved to a different country, or would he want him to stay in El Salvador? Did he discuss that with Bukele or any of his advisors, specifically with immigration?” the reporter asked.
Miller replied, “The Supreme Court has been abundantly clear when it overturned the lower court’s ruling that the foreign policy of the United States cannot be compelled by a district court,” said Miller. “The view of our administration has been very clear and consistent that this man is a subject and citizen of El Salvador. And El Salvador as a country has informed us repeatedly and publicly that it is their desire and intention to retain custody of him. And of course, we, as the U.S. government, cannot forcibly retrieve him against the wishes of El Salvador.”
Miller said if they forcibly retrieved Abrego Garcia, the “irony” would be he’d be deported a second time “back to El Salvador” because he still has a deportation order against him.
“The withholding order that has been so much discussed is no longer valid or enforced because he’s a member of a foreign terrorist organization. And because the fake claim that he completely fabricated about being persecuted by a rival gang no longer exists. The gang itself no longer exists in the country,” he concluded.
It’s evident that this construction worker is a pawn in a game of historical and social events way beyond himself or anything he ever did. It’s the ultimate example of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. The Trump administration has decided that he’s their test case and out of a spirit of pure defiance and cussedness, they intend to punish this man for nothing. And the White House is openly taunting the Supreme Court and refusing to obey their ruling. Make note of that, it’s not something you’ve seen in your life before, but in this brave new world of Trump 2.0, it may become the norm.

Friends, many many thanks to those of you who have generously contributed to keep the site up and running. This is starting out to be a difficult year because so many people are tuning out from politics and feeling helpless. We are determined to stay in the fight. Help if you can. Thank you. Ursula

Given the lawlessness of the people AT EVERY LEVEL of the federal ‘government’…when does it become OUR civil duty to raise hell in any capacity that a freedom loving citizen would engage in to STOP THIS FASCIST PIG???? Call me curious.
Well, Scott, call ME curious when I ask what are YOU going to do SPECIFICALLY to achieve those ends? You love to play these games of demanding OTHERS start taking action while whining when people dare criticize you (hmm–sounds very Drumpfian of you). So. What are YOU going to do? When are YOU going to take the lead and “raise hell in any capacity?” When are YOU going to engage in the fight to “STOP THIS FASCIST PIG?”
And I know, if you respond to this, you’re just going to do your usual name-calling and general deflection (when I called you an armchair warrior, you lashed out at that idea but that’s all you seem to do here) because YOU are not going to do anything. You’ll wait for someone else to do something and then criticize them for not doing it fast enough or they’re not doing it right because that’s YOUR usual MO.
So now asking a legitimate question brings your ignorant and baseless accusations. Who’s acting like Maga? Grab a mirror.
Having created this monster known as Trump the Immune, I suspect Chief un-Justice Roberts’ nickname behind closed doors is now Justice Frankenstein. Roberts now has a stark choice: try to impose his will (and that of his corrupt court) on this rogue president or submit and become the poster child for a “legal” system just like Hitler’s.
“The gang itself no longer exists in the country,” he concluded.”
widdle Stevie Miller now has me very confused. Why? If no gang exists, why do they keep calling Mr. Garcia an MS-13 gang member?
Translation: “Facts? We don’t need no stinkin’ facts. We don’t like him, so he’s gone, and he ain’t comin’back. And if he does,,we’ll shoot his Scary Brown Ass because God-Emperor Trump doesn’t like him.”
Trump is Baron Harkonnen and Miller is his sadistic serial.killer nephew
