Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has placed himself squarely in the conversation of who should be Kamala Harris’ running mate by espousing good old fashion Democratic common sense policy initiatives and coming up with what is fast becoming a campaign refrain for the Harris camp… ‘these people are just plain weird’. JD Vance has perhaps most personified this apt descriptor with his bizzare attacks on single women, on childless Jennifer Aniston, on pet lovers everywhere while describing his wife, who is of Indian descent, as “obviously not a white person” and being haplessly unable to fend off accusations that he once got amorous with his momma’s sofa.
But the Donald pretty neatly fits into that category as well, as Governor Walz tells Jake Tapper below…
Gov. @Tim_Walz: It’s true that Donald Trump is going to put women's lives at risk and wants to end constitutional liberties. But also just listen to the guy. He's talking about Hannibal Lecter and electrocuting sharks. Have you ever seen the guy laugh? If he has laughed, it's at… pic.twitter.com/pDFX21kqp0

Meanwhile, Trump did little to dissuade detractors such as Walz and myself last night in St. Cloud, Minnesota when he wrapped up a speech full of weirdness by weirdly slurring his campaign catechism “make America strong again” by stretching out the short “o” sound in “strong”, slowing down like a talking Ken’s grandpa doll that someone has taken the battery out of…
See for your self…
The infamous slurdown.

Yup.
The guy behind him in the gray ball cap looks like he is seriously reconsidering his voting options.
But who wouldn’t after listening to Trump’s weirdness all night…
Below he is still ranting about Hunter Biden, whom circumstance has eliminated as a campaign issue…
you could hear a pin drop as Trump's audience sits in total silence while he rants and raves about Hunter Biden (check out how bored the people behind him look) pic.twitter.com/b0DQQbkrpn

His bit about Kamala being “evil” doesn’t seem to go over well, even with that crowd…

And, of course, he is still trying to convince people he knew Hannibal Lecter was a fictional character all along…

He’s getting even more nonsensical when talking about a fictional serial killer.

Yup
The troubled patient is the one speaking.

Yeah, I think Gov. Walz is onto something…

I mean talk about the pot calling the kettle orange…
So, even if it might seem a little middle-school, I think this weirdo, dork, dufus, geek, flake, oddball strategy just might lead to electoral gold.
We certainly have the right opponents to make it stick to…

Yeah, call them weird, because they are. I’d prefer everyone calls them assholes, but I suppose that’s too graphic for primetime.
What I personally find compelling is that Trump’s slurs aren’t sticking to Kamala the way they did to Hillary. This is key. Hillary was hated. She and Bill were the victims of what she herself referred to as the “vast right-wing conspiracy,” and said conspiracy had been going on for about 20 years. She and Bill were accused of everything from selling uranium to murdering their colleagues.
Kamala doesn’t have any of that. And so “Lyin’ Kamala” and “bum” and all the slurs just aren’t sticking like “Crooked Hillary” did. Trump’s in trouble and I am gleeful.
He’s a seriously mentally ill person with malignant narcissistic personality disorder. Being a sociopath doesn’t help either. No psychiatrist in the world can fix that combo.
Nobody’s mentioning this, but Trump doesn’t seem to be wearing a bandage on his “wounded” ear, and there’s no sign of the wound. If he were even grazed by an intact 5.56 mm round, there would be evidence of significant damage to that ear.
Hoax! Otherwise why not let the ER MDs reveal their expertise?
Maybe the “blood” was a stage/movie propcapsule, or even some ketchup thinned by 1/3 with water – after all, there’s usually plenty of Heinz’s most famous product close by Von Schintzenpantz.
