Not so very long ago, if a president did a prime time address from the Oval Office, the mainstream media was all over it. That might be because nobody else in our history has abused both the press and White House protocol like Donald Trump has. The press got wind of the subject matter of Thursday’s screed and said thanks but no thanks. We do present here a distillation of the event, highlighting some of Trump’s biggest whoppers.
Trump just slurred his way through a primetime speech he struggled to read on his teleprompter, but that aimed at creating a pretext for him to try to rig elections.

Trump is hell bent on casting shadows of doubt on November’s election. The solution? Turn out in such numbers that we win by a big enough margin to where he can’t even begin to get any inroads with his shenanigans. That’s the message we need to take to heart right now.
Bottom line, Trump doesn’t want any oversight and the last thing he needs is a Democratically-led House to investigate him. He dreads that more than anything.
