I know why Steve Bannon drinks. He’s got a Faustian bargain going on with his podcast. He makes money from interviewing all the crazies in the right-wingosphere but listening to this sheer stupidity every day has got to be taxing.
Take one and a half minutes to listen to Marjorie Taylor Greene go on about the relative merits of the “communist revolution which the Democrats waged day in and day out” versus the no biggy of January 6, which she assures us was “JUST a riot at the Capitol.” Yeah, man, what’s one little riot when the other side was staging a revolution every day? What revolution? Good question, I missed it too. I think she’s talking about the George Floyd demonstrations, but don’t quote me on it.
This is Greene at her finest, which is to say drop dead hilarious and oblivious to the fact that she is so.

I love the last five seconds of this tape, where a hungover-looking Bannon briefly raises his eyes and then says, “Screw it” and goes back to sleep. I’m telling you, to sit through this drivel for a living must be something. Bannon’s too smart for this. He decided to go rogue back in the day and embrace conspiracy theory over at Breitbart and he’d rather grift money, like he did for the Trump Wall as opposed to doing an honest days work, but that doesn’t mean he is under any illusions about the bozos he deals with. And certainly none of the rest of us are.
I love it when Greene talks about how her life is in danger. Matt Gaetz said the same thing a few days ago. Why would anybody care enough to want to bump one of them off?
What I think is really going on is that Greene realizes that she has some legal exposure for the events of January 6. I speculate that she is reacting to the Rolling Stone bombshell of Sunday and is planning to log in as much time as she can on right-wing media to plead her innocence and establish that she’s being plotted against by dark forces.
Or, maybe she’s right and media outlets put bounties on people nowadays. If Marjorie Taylor Greene wakes up next to a horse head tomorrow, we at PZ didn’t do it. We don’t have the cash. Maybe it was CNN, go ask them.
I sometimes wonder what would have happened if the Navy had promoted Bannon, eventually to the position he so surely thought he was destined for – Chief of Naval Operations (CNO). Alas, while the Navy (to be fair so have other branches) have promoted people to ranks beyond their capabilities but one more bumbling asshole in the ranks of the Navy brass (even at CNO) isn’t all that unusual. But I think Bannon would have been satisfied with his life and never made the leap into political consulting. Sadly, the Navy recognized he didn’t deserve promotion beyond what he’d already attained (Lieutenant O-3) despite his having been assigned to the then CNO’s staff by that point. I believe he grew bitter over the years and decided to fuck over the entire country for the Navy’s (accurately) denying his “greatness.”
Didn’t he have some screenplay or something he wanted made into a movie? Seems like he wasn’t great there either.
Greene needs to be taken down about three notches. (About six from her own estimation of herself.)
The FBI needs to verify her whereabouts any way they can since the unidentified person who laid pipebombs took sauntering lessons from this loud mouth, ignorant, privileged cunt. Maybe they are. Noted. But please explain why ‘dick’ is OK? As I have previously noted there seems to be a double standard. OK to equate trump’s reprehensible character with having a small penis,WHICH IVE SEEN ON THIS SITE, body shaming men & promoting ignorance, but God forbid some man equate ms green’s character with a fat butt, a dog face, etc. Just saying.
Well, it’s largely because MEN are more likely to use “dick” as an insult to other men but there’s also the likelihood that the term did NOT originate with any sexual reference. Some of the earliest expressions that developed in the mid-20th century may have very well been euphemisms for “fuck” (phrases like “dick around” meaning “to waste time” and “dick up” to mean “to spoil” can be read with “fuck” instead and retain the same meaning). As for “dick” being used to mean a stupid person, that seems to have come around the mid-60s in the novel, “Seventh Avenue.”
The word YOU used, however, has ZERO connotation outside female genitalia and is far more often used BY MEN as a derogatory word about women. (And when you think about it, a lot of negative terms tend to come from a male perspective of being female.)
Rationalization seems to me. Often the word head is added. All men have one. How are u the final authority on what insults someone? So I guess the next time someone equates trumps abysmal character with supposedly a small penis, you’ll show similar outrage. Don’t remember u doing that.
