The problem with MAGA and of course it started with Donald Trump, is that politics used to have definable boundaries. There were lines that did not get crossed. Yes, there has always been slander and innuendo, starting way back with Tricky Dick saying an opponent was as “pink as her underwear” translating as commie pinko fascist.
That’s nothing new. And if it stopped there, we wouldn’t be the laughing stock of the world right now that we’ve become in the era of Trump, an era where the GOP is a rudderless hulk out there on the political seas.

Marge not only kicked the young woman, she tweeted out footage of it. Washington Post:
“Excuse me,” Greene says while at first appearing to step on demonstrator Marianna Pecora’s foot.
“Excuse me,” Greene says again, this time after appearing to intentionally draw back her foot and aim for Pecora’s leg.
“Oh my God,” Pecora, 18, is seen saying in the videos.
“You can’t block members of Congress,” Greene’s communications director, Nick Dyer, told Pecora, even though Greene was engaging her in conversation.
“Far-right Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has spent her time in office launching attacks against our democracy and the young people who will soon inherit it,” the group wrote. “This afternoon, she took her offenses to another level, as she physically and verbally attacked members of our team. In addition to yelling at our Executive Director, a Mexican immigrant, to ‘go to another country,’ she physically assaulted another young staffer. Gen Z is fed up with politicians who continue to put our lives in danger, and this aggression is one of the most visible examples yet of what we are up against.”
I know what I’m about to say is futile and ridiculous, but if there was any House minority leadership, if Kevin McCarthy was anything other than a mere figurehead, Greene would be censured for this. This is appalling.

Maybe Greene’s communication director needs to be reminded that members of Congress most certainly CAN be blocked. As long as there’s no threat made during the blocking, as long as there’s no physical contact against the member, there is NOTHING that lets a member of Congress walk around with any more impunity than any other citizen of this country.
