I don’t think Kari Lake will win the nomination to run for governor of Arizona, but she is already the Queen of Wingnuttia and white nationalism. She might as well have business cards printed up if she hasn’t already.
She’s a real piece of work. She’s covering all the MAGA bases. She’s a gun nut and an election denier. And Donald Trump’s endorsed candidate. He really didn’t like that RINO governor who wouldn’t pick up the phone and kept certifying the election in 2016.
Lake insists that the “standing army” is protecting all of us, the left included. Umm….from whom?

Brief anecdote: A guy got on Twitter last night, wanted to know if there was anything new regarding the pipeline in South Dakota. He said that his sister-in-law was freaking out, talking about hoarding gasoline, there was going to be no more, bla bla. He described her tone as “the sky is falling.” She got hold of some right-wing media madness.
What my nightmare vision is for this country, is what if some lunatic right-wing outlet does go on the air and say that war has been declared against “free Americans” or some drivel and the MAGAs do pull out the guns and start shooting everybody? It could happen.
Disinformation is cultural poison. Disinformation can literally kill people. I have no doubt but that at least some of these mass shooters act out because they’ve been saturated in so much negativity that they really don’t know what’s going on out in the world and so they act out in a world that exists only in their own minds.
But don’t expect it to stop. Not while the cash register is ringing. As long as Fox News, whomever, is pulling the ratings numbers and thriving in business, expect more of the same. This is the tragedy of the world we live in.
