What a shame they didn’t have the science of photography in the Roman Empire. I feel certain that when Caligula threw a party that this is what it looked like. Donald Trump had a hard week in court, as well you know, and now he’s got to make up for lost time and for massive legal fees spent. He’s got to get back into the White House in order to avoid the House Of Many Doors and in order to do that, he needs the support of heavy donors that are at his home tonight. Here’s what that looks like, a sort of deranged version of the Last Supper, Trump and his GOP disciples at the Last Fundraiser.

No, you do not see Melania at Trump’s side. And whether she’ll show up at all this weekend is anybody’s guess, possibly even his. You also don’t see Kristi Noem. You do see a frumpily dressed Elise Stefanik and surprisingly you see Marsha Blackburn. Jonathan Last wrote a piece this past week about Trump possibly considering Blackburn as a VP dark horse candidate. I didn’t give it a lot of credence but she is there, so maybe Last knows something that the rest of us don’t.

Here are more circus images. I wonder if MAGA moms and dads know what their MAGA bucks buy?

Decadence, excess, rot, all the precursors of ruination. And you notice that Mike Johnson is there but Marge Greene is not? Also not present is Lauren Boebert. Maybe Trump had enough of her when she was drunk at the Young Republicans event in New York a few months ago and kept wanting to do selfies with him?

Now you know which Republicans are there. As to which donors are present and what checks they will draw this weekend, more will be revealed. This is what is known.

Attendees will receive a briefing on the state of the race from Trump’s co-campaign managers, Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles, and his pollster Tony Fabrizio. They will also be given a briefing on “election integrity.”
Most of the event will be held at the Four Seasons hotel in Palm Beach, with Trump hosting a fundraising lunch at his Mar-a-Lago estate on Saturday.
According to the invitation, the retreat was open only to those who have raised $25,000 for Trump or couples who have raised $100,000.
Trump is in no hurry to pick a running mate, according to advisers. He will not be formally nominated until the Republican convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in July.
Some Trump advisers believe Noem’s stock has fallen in Trump’s eyes after her revelation in her new memoir that she once shot a 14-month-old dog for being disobedient.
Trump’s Save America committee has paid out more than $59 million in legal fees since the start of 2023, siphoning resources that could be used for TV ads and other campaign-related needs.
Beyond the hush-money trial, which is expected to last deep into this month, Trump faces federal and state charges over his efforts to overturn the 2020 election and a federal prosecution over his mishandling of classified documents. But it’s unclear if any of those three cases will come to trial before the election.
Biden has held a persistent edge in fundraising. His campaign reported having about $85 million in the bank at the end of March, compared with Trump’s $45 million.
Trump is also scheduled to hold a high-dollar fundraiser in New York on May 14.
That should be an interesting event. Straight from the courthouse to a fundraising banquet. Only seeing will be believing.

    By highlighting it’s absence.

To be fair, confirming the ‘taste’ paradigm established with Trump Tower.

Aiming for Italian and landing on Iranian.

  2. I’m confused…….while there was a luncheon with entertainment at MAGAt-Lardo yesterday (Saturday), the main donor event was held at the Four Seasons in Palm Springs……NBC, Politico, and Daily Beast are reporting Noem was in attendance there, and she commented the media won’t leave her alone about the dog thing, but they did not state she was at the luncheon???

  3. Blackburn is an experienced senator from Tennessee who could be a candidate to replace Mitch McConnell as Republican Senate leader. Why she would want anything to do with trump is a mystery, since she must realize voters are going to take him to the Noem gravel pit in November — if he gets that far. Maybe that’s the point. The savvy deep red core of the party may realize that their presumptive candidate could crash and burn before July, and they are positioning themselves to step into the breach in the event. It’s a big risk, because everything he touches …

  4. What a buncha stiffs!! They even managed to make Cirque du Salacious boring!! And, as I looked at that rogue’s gallery from left to right, I got increasingly nauseated until I got to the last rogue and I laughed aloud!! That’s little Rod Blagojevich!! Is he in the running for Veep?!! Is that why Teump pardoned him?! 🤣
