Tis thankful I am that I’m not a worker at Fox News assigned to spin fable about January’s Capitol riot. While that has always been a thankless task, it escalated to a different level of hopelessness Monday night after Liz Cheney read text messages sent to Mark Meadows on January 6.
As you know, some of those text messages were from Fox News hosts. Here is the best they could come up with by way of rebuttal after 24 hours of, “should we try this?” “Nah, don’t be ridiculous. That won’t work. Let’s try that.” None of it works.
I took the insurrection very seriously also there was no insurrection https://t.co/cGWwK8oSO3

No, she never downplayed it, she thought it was very important, whatever it was. It just wasn’t an insurrection, it was something else. And that’s Trump take on it, as you are painfully aware, that the “insurrection” was November 3 and January 6 was a garden party, only they took the garden tools out of the shed and smashed things and people with them.
And there’s this jewel.
They’re totally not upset pic.twitter.com/885Ih3t4mv

Now you notice the pattern, already. They’re not saying anything substantive. They’re just hemming and hawing and conveying displeasure. But there is not even one softball idea here. We know we’re not going to get concrete fact from these people, ever. If it’s pouring rain outside and you ask these people what the weather’s like, they’ll tell you somebody is doing a commercial for a new kind of window washing fluid and they decided to try it city wide first. The truth isn’t in them.
But then it got pathetic when Geraldo chimed in. (Go to the bottom clip, it’s longer and includes the top clip.)

Interesting that Geraldo is even allowed to play good cop, bad cop with these two. What’s up with that?
And then we move on to Mother Tucker, because of course we do. S*it always flows downhill, Tucker comes last.
This is a total lie from Tucker. The whole reason Kilmeade, Hannity, & Ingraham's text messages are a scandal is because what they said in private (Trump is responsible for the Capitol attack) is different than what they say on TV (Trump isn't responsible for the Capitol attack) pic.twitter.com/w1FPzc2zFz

And may we chime in here, gentle reader, that Tucker did a *documentary* on January 6, depicting it as a false flag operation. But oh no, he’s a credible source amongst an entire enclave of credible sources.
This is a soap opera and it’s only going to get more implausible as the J6 Committee grinds on.
As a public service, here is all 8:56 of Liz Cheney’s comments Monday night.

And mark my words on this one: Mark Meadows isn’t going to go to jail for Trump. I’m not sure what he will do, but I know one thing he will not do, and that’s go to jail for Trump.
That dread moment when you find out that you’re not only expendable but disposable.
