There’s a story that used to knock about Hollywood for years. Supposedly Lucile Ball told Shirley McLaine that Ronald Reagan was out driving through the desert one night and a UFO landed in front of him and blocked the road.
Reagan got out of the car, the story goes. A telepathic being got out of the UFO and told Reagan. “Quit acting. Go into politics.” So what do you suppose? The ET was somebody who loved movies and couldn’t stand Ronnie’s acting? Or, he hated humanity and decided to inflict Ronnie on politics? Both?
We may never know. But as improbable as the star of Bedtime For Bonzo becoming president, it was nothing compared to what you and I lived through for four years.
I call this masterpiece simply "Trumpy"

I wish Reagan’s spaceman would land in front of Trump’s golf cart and tell him, “Quit politics. Go into acting.” The problem there is, for Trump they’re one and the same thing.

Well, the difference between Reagan and Trump is that Reagan actually DID have some leadership experience. He was President of the Screen Actors’ Guild during the 1950s (and all too willing to rat out people he suspected of being Communists) and, during the 1960s, he was Governor of California. And, despite his political differences with the Democrats, he would never have engaged in juvenile name-calling; hell, he even had good personal relationships with many Democratic members of the House and Senate–they could fight like cats and dogs during the day but would go for drinks or just socialize at night.
I couldn’t stand the man, but Reagan ALWAYS came off as that granddad who might not like whatever choices you made but he’d support you nonetheless. Trump simply came off as that crazy uncle who was made every family get together an unpleasant nightmare for everyone (but was always allowed to rant and rave while everyone else had to hold their tongues).
Every. Single. In-law every single holiday. The crazy uncle,that is.
I think we can all agree that after 8 years of President Obama, we grew complacent. Democrats, myself included NEVER thought someone as embarrassing, and stupid as Donald Drumpf would ever be elected as president of our nation. Most democrats didn’t vote in 2016 for this very reason. We didn’t like Hillary, and we laughed at someone like Drumpf actually living in the White House.
Well, it was the biggest mistake democrats have ever made……not voting.
We quickly came to understand that the rest of the planets people were laughing at us as Drumpf continued to assault our country, fleece his supporters, and lie about anything and everything that spewed from his voice box. The stupid things he did was just par for the course of Drumpf.
In 2020 we learned from our mistake, and 82 million of us voted despite the pandemic bearing down on us and killing our people.
More stupidly ensued after that because the fat fascist decided that he wasn’t going to accept that 82 million of us fired him by spreading horrid lies about the integrity of our elections.
In 2022 we took that lesson we learned to the polls yet again, and torched the election deniers that were trying to take our democracy away from us yet again.
We have much to be proud of!!!! We defeated the Nazis in 1945, we defeated them again in 2020 and once again in 2022.
All we have to do is vote. We outnumber the Nazis. Good outnumbers evil.
In 2024, our fight against the Nazis will continue until every Nazi is purged from the Republican Party and the Republican patriots take their party back!!!!!
We made a huge mistake in 2016. The Republican Party made a huge mistake as well by allowing their party to be hi jacked.
We learned from our mistake.

Amen …. we have to get our country back again for our children and grandchildren . If we don’t get these crooks out of office it’s only going to get worse .
