The MAGAs always want to put the cart before the horse. Their first position is that Trump, as an ex-president, shouldn’t be prosecuted. Next, they will tell you that Trump, as a current contender for 2024, should not be prosecuted. Their assertion rolls right into an argument that this is all political and thus corrupt. This is simply assumed as a given. At no point do they address whether Trump committed the crime or not. At no point do any of them acknowledge that Michael Cohen went to prison for this very same crime. And at no point does anyone on the Right say, “Well, Trump is innocent and so let’s just have faith in the system that he’ll prove that he’s innocent and move on.”

Never.

Indeed, Tucker Carlson believes it’s better to beg President Biden to intervene as if Biden were some tinpot dictator or a king who can point his finger and say, “No.” Biden can give a speech and say that he believes it’s best not to prosecute Trump for the good of the nation. He could. But it would just be an opinion – an important one, to be sure, but still just an opening. He has no power to stop the state of New York and, in theory, he doesn’t even have the power to stop the Department of Justice. (Though Trump showed us that a president willing to break all the rules could control the Justice Department.)

Last night, Tucker – rather pathetically, begged President Biden to intervene. But Tucker’s lead in was just as informative:

So in Manhattan tomorrow, what will certainly be an overwhelmingly liberal grand jury will meet. And unless something unexpected happens, Democrats will have taken the unprecedented step of using a corrupt justice system to take out the front runner in the Republican presidential field in a presidential race.

I highlighted portions of the above because it’s critical to look at Carlson’s presumptions. First, a “liberal” grand jury is more likely to indict Trump. Says who? I have spoken to juries, and there is one rule that every lawyer either follows or learns the hard way, never ever underestimate juries of any kind. They take their sworn oath damned seriously. Jury duty brings out some of the best in people. So why does Tucker assume that a decision will be based on political views? “Democrats” aren’t doing anything. The Manhattan District Attorney is doing his job. If he is doing it poorly, he will lose in court and at the ballot box. But “Democrats” aren’t doing anything. “Corrupt”? What part of this is “corrupt”? If anything is “corrupt,” it’s that Trump let Barr go after Cohen and then stopped SDNY from going after Trump. That was “corrupt.” Last, how is it supposed to “take out the front runner…” is Tucker presuming Trump is guilty?

Hilariously, Tucker then begs President Biden to use his office in a corrupt manner to interfere:

You’ve got to hope that for the sake of the country, the Biden White House which will be running against Trump, will put the country above partisanship and stop this.

How is President Biden supposed to stop this? If the Manhattan D.A. listened to Biden and decided to not indict Trump because Biden suggested it. It would be as corrupt as if the Georgia governor or legislature took the Trump case out of D.A. Fanni Willis’s hands. Tucker knows that the White House can’t do it, but he tells the audience that President Biden could stop this if he wanted to. (Wow, Tucker got used to the dictatorship that was the Trump presidency.)

“And that Merrick Garland at DOJ will issue a very public statement saying that this is wrong, which it is, and therefore preserve for our grandchildren our justice system.

Again. The presumption that the only motivation here is to “get Trump” and not apply the law the way it was applied to Michael Cohen by Trump’s DOJ! Yes, amazingly, it was “Justice” when Trump’s DOJ put Cohen in prison for three years, but for the state of New York to look at Trump doing the same thing as “Democratic corruption to “get” the Republican frontrunner.

Tucker is doing his job, telling the audience what they want to hear—lying (That Biden or Garland can do anything about it) and ignoring Trump’s actual actions, which were horrifically reckless. He was paying off a porn star a week before an election. That part always gets left out… except by DeSantis.

  1. The only way the truth could come out of tucker’s cakehole is for his naked ass to be threatened with the insertion of a hot poker. Oh, I’m sure he’d come clean then. Otherwise, forget this entitled fascist child killer. The truth is not in him.

  2. That pic at the top of the article is priceless.

It’s the most realistic picture I’ve ever seen of Tuck-tuck.

When I saw it at first, I knew EXACTLY where I’ve seen that look before: The average “blow-up” sex doll’s face with that ever-open mouth.

  3. Actually they are trying to.pass a bill that would allow Kemp to.remove an elected prosecutor if he considers an investigation politically motivated. They accuse Send of what they are trying to do. Typical R.

  4. Liar tuck, if we take his little manly docco to heart, likely wants to put his fanny up for those guys in the film. I don’t see that happening either if only because the other guys probably wouldn’t touch the fucker with a ten foot pole let alone with their dicks.
