The bookies in Dublin haven’t laid odds on Donald Trump’s chemical crash from dexamethasone or regeneron or any of his other meds at the time of this writing. The odds of him surviving overall are still in the 90’s — physically, that is, not politically. Politically he’s toast.
Be that as it may, this is today’s COVID Chronicle, now 27 days out from Election Day, or Judgement Day if your name is Trump.
Trump issued a “proof of life” video Wednesday, but experts are wondering if it was recorded yesterday, because Trump slips and says, “I got back yesterday,” and he actually returned to the White House Monday. This would not be a big deal but for the fact that the only reason he’s on his feet at all is because he’s jacked up on experimental COVID-19 meds and God knows what else he takes. He’s doing a desperate gambit of photo ops so that we, the American people, will believe that he’s just spiffy tootin’ fine and the coronavirus is no biggy.
Here, without further ado is Donald Trump, wearing a pound of orange makeup, and declaring his coronavirus diagnosis a “blessing from God.” And he’s talking about free drugs — experimental COVID drugs — “and if you’re a senior, we’re going to get you in quick.” HA! Not risking my sixty-something derriere on that premise! No way, Jose! I’m listening to the CDC and not Trump.
Sigh. If we can just stand on our heads for 27 more days and endure somehow, we’ll be rid of this.

But this next clip is interesting. This is Jim Acosta describing how the White House has lied about Trump’s tests — and again, the White House lying is no news flash at all in this day and age. But take a listen. We need to keep on the details.
Even Fox News has gotten on Mark Meadows’ case about duplicity in reporting when Trump has been tested and when his last negative test was.
Yeah, it’s from yesterday. Trump’s inability to stick with a script plus the lack of a live broadcast says as much.
The monoclonal-antibody stuff won’t be free for a long, long time. It’s thousands per dose, and that’s one that’s been in use for years.
ETA: I wonder what unprescribed meds he’s taking now that he’s back in his own rooms, and how they interact with steroids.
There was that meeting for Gold Star families on Sunday, Sept 27, in the WH. They were told that they were in contact with a positive case shortly after.(before the WH stopped reporting tracing).
They’ve been lying For over a week.
He’s had the virus since before Sept 25, given that he was shedding it on the 26th and should have tested positive by Tuesday.
I stopped watching after a couple of minutes. He tried to hide it but he was sucking air (like I said about his Mussolini appearance “sucking wind”) through his teeth. I too think this is probably a day old. Btw, since you brought up the makeup thing again I’ll say it again – our President is the male version of Tammy Faye Baker with all that caked on makeup.
His face looks lopsided, with that eye squinched up and the eyebrow and cheekbone so prominent around it.
Tammy at her most hideous was far easier on the eyes.
She could at least fake caring about people – remember how she’d cry and make all that caked on makeup run?
She actually did. After the scandal were over and she split from her odious husband, she actively supported LGBT people, for instance. And she had a sense of humor about herself.
