I’m wondering if this piece of advice was given to Donald by one of his campaign managers. Just yesterday, mere hours before the Democratic National Convention got underway, Trump went out of his way to compliment both Barack Obama and his wife. Many people thought that was curious.
On Tuesday, CNN asked Trump about his view of Obama before the former Democratic president was scheduled to speak at his party’s convention in Chicago that night.
“I like him. I think he’s a nice gentleman, but he was very, very weak on trade,” Trump replied. “If you take a look at what happened to our country trade-wise, it was a disaster. Take a look at Japan, take a look at China, take a look at what happened with some of these countries, what they did.”
The Republican presidential nominee added: “But I happen to like him. I respect him, and I respect his wife.”
Well, that didn’t last long because today Trump is back to using Obama’s middle name and disparaging him. That tells me that some advisor of Trump’s told him to take the high road. And if Trump had taken the high road nine years ago we might be having a different discussion. I guess the thought was that if Trump took the high road the Obamas would look bad and that is not the case. Both Obamas are lightyears beyond Trump in both their intellects and oratorial skills. They got their point across and not with cheap wisecracks or racist innuendo.

Another day, more Trump griping and whining. And it’s a “Sir” story so you know whatever comes out of his mouth is going to be pure fiction. I wonder if he will fire LaCivita and Wiles. I believe all the political strategists who say that he will and God knows Trump has done it before. Ask Paul Manafort, Corey Lewandowski and Brad Parscale. But the issue now is replacing them at this late date. He doesn’t have a lot of people eager for the job unless there are some strategists who know that they will lose but figure, hey, it’s an infusion of cash, a kind of financial sugar high, go for it. Get what you can while you can.
I’d say it’s even money right now. Trump is a creature of impulse and right now he’s desperate. Somebody talking the right talk and giving Trump an illusion of a winning strategy could get a nice piece of cash if they move fast.
So…he’s being ‘nice’ to a Muslim terrorist who isn’t even a citizen, who stole the presidency. I saw multiple interviews where he said he has “explosive evidence” he’s been sitting on ALL THESE YEARS, proving that Muslim terrorist doesn’t have a legitimate birth certificate. Go figure. What a guy!
How quickly they forget. One of the main reasons I hate Melania is her participation in the birther conspiracy theory. Then when she wore the pea coat, that tore it. She went to the top of my shit list, never to descend. They are both trash. They deserve one another.
“I try to be nice to people”. Since when? Like how nice he was to the Bidens when he and Melanoma didn’t welcome them to the White House and locked the doors on them?
