This is intriguing. Donald Trump is making his come back and he wants you all to know how successful he is. He’s made the careers of many politicians. He’s not only King but king maker, right?

You know how he claims that the midterm election was in fact a red wave because he endorsed over 230 candidates who won. Now the problem is, the lion’s share of them were incumbents, and most of the incumbents were in deep red states, where it would have taken a dynamite charge to dislodge them, but that fact is overlooked.

One thing you can prepare for, friends. 2023 is going to be all about revisionist history.

That he includes Eric Schmitt is comical, since he also endorsed the “other” Eric, Eric Greitans, as well. You may recall how Trump thought that was a funny ha ha.

And now we move on to Trump’s Hit List, meaning his enemies, who he vanquished singlehandedly. Or with the help of his MAGAs. And now he’s got the SAPs on his side. (Strong American Patriots)

The message here is, “You, too, will be history if you oppose me. I am the Almighty Trump.”

Just watch the headlines in the next few days. Trump will continue to double, triple and quadruple down on Mitch McConnell. He needs to blame him for losing the midterms. Josh Hawley is right in there with Trump. Hawley did a piece in Breitbart about how awful McConnell is and one can only surmise that Hawley has dreams of being the Senate Majority Leader some day.

Dream on, Josh. At the very least, nobody’s got footage of Mitch running like the wind to get out of the Capitol on January 6. But they’ve got it on you.

And if you doubt Trump’s motives for a moment, he made them clear earlier today.

See? It wasn’t his fault.

  1. Even a blind squirrel sometimes finds an acorn, and Trump’s correct about the GOP screwing itself on abortion/overturning Roe. I think it was actually a miscalculation on their part which I’ll get to. First though is that Trump campaigned on appointing anti-abortion zealots to the federal bench and especially SCOTUS. Before he realized just how much he could get away with he assumed he’d need McConnell and cut that deal to for judicial appointments that Mitch got from The Federalist Society. Trump didn’t give a shit about abortion or reproductive rights, and knew damn well women in his family and his friends could afford any medical tourism needed to keep right on avoiding pregnancy or dealing with an unwanted one. (Same with McConnell and the bulk of the GOP asshats) TRUMP knew he was appointing people to SCOTUS that would do exactly what they did. And McConnell didn’t care one way or the other on that issue but there was a range of other stuff he knew they’d be friendly on which is why he cut his deal with Trump in the first place.

I mentioned GOP miscalculation. SCOTUS decisions for a term have to be announced before a year’s term is up each June. I believe the leaking of the decision overturning Roe was about more than just locking up wavering support (and I’d bet anything Alito was the leaker which is why no one was “found”) – it was also to give pro-choice folks a chance to vent outrage and get a big part of THAT out of their system. Even if that wasn’t a factor I’m quite sure McConnell and others (including Trump) assumed the storm would blow itself out well before the election.

They were as we know wrong. The GOP is going to be dealing with what they’ve wrought for a very long time. Years, if not decades. The old political rules, including the one about voters having short memories don’t always apply anymore. And they lost some of their vaunted messaging machine thanks to Trump. To The Lincoln Project and Meidas. Others just stuck to serving individual candidates that didn’t make them puke but avoided getting involved with national level stuff. Had the media not done so much of that work for them by constantly yapping about inflation (gas prices) and “crime” we might well have picked up at least one more Senate seat and kept control of the House!

So I again say while there are true MAGAs on the Hill the bulk of the GOP prays, or at least wishes every single day that Democrats will take care of their Trump problem for them. And if we manage to do so and put his ass in jail and bankrupt him for good will they thank us? Don’t make me laugh. They will DEMONIZE us to MAGA world and wind up with just as strong a hold on them as Trump’s got.

  2. Quick question Ursula. Wouldn’t you need to know history in order to revise it? Otherwise, you could use the phrase ‘fractured fairy tales’. Thanks Bullwinkle & Rocky! “Nothing up my sleeve!”

  3. Waaahhhh! It wasn’t me. I didn’t do it. It’s not my fault.

I wonder how often former guy’s diaper needs changing? He acts more and more like a 2 year old and not a very bright one at that. The man is an epic embarrassment to this nation.
