Once again we get a missive from Trump that is beyond parody. It is impossible to tell what actually is on the man’s Truth Social feed or what some Onion-esque satirist has come up with. It used to be quite a hoot back in the day to read Andy Borowitz’ “Not the News” column because it was such clear satire. Nowadays you can put Borowitz’ and Truth Social side by side and it’s even money which will seem the most insane. Here is Exhibit “A” to my proposition here. And it’s still early on the east coast and tomorrow is Election Day so wait for Trump to completely blow a gasket. Have the ketchup bottles formed a union yet? Seems to me those folks need protection.

Here is Rasmussen, always Trump’s favorite poll. And yes, they may have him at a lesser degree of disapproval but they have him in a solid disapproval zone.
Click into that tweet and see the lot of them. Trump can’t escape the reality of it. What is bemusing, however, is that this particularly bothers him. He’s quite bothered, he makes that clear. And earlier today he had one of his screaming all-caps meltdowns. Why is he so agitated?
Come, let us reason together as Lyndon Johnson used to intone back in the day. If Trump has terrific poll numbers, the bigliest, the bestest, the finest that anybody with his size of a brain can possibly generate AND if he’s saved the country and we’re all doing so fabulously since he’s been back in office — then why is he worried about Election Day tomorrow? Or anything? He’s got it wired, right? So why the fear mongering and the all-caps?
Who knows? But one prediction I make with complete confidence: It’s not going to get any better. Trump will get loonier tonight and be loony all day tomorrow until the polls close and the exit polls and early returns happen.
Dementia is not a condition that improves over time, or so I am given to understand. And yes, Trump is sitting in the Oval Office — and all around him his incompetence is causing things to crumble.
Wait until the reduced SNAP benefits start happening in rural counties in red states. That’s what Donald is really flipping out over. And well he should.
