Once again, we are asking, “What were you THINKING?”, and oh, mercy, this one is too good! Trump decided to make an official presidential Valentine’s wish, but it did not land the way he expected. It landed completely the opposite way, which is great for us and bad for him. With thanks to Raw Story:
The White House is getting significant pushback for an official Valentine’s Day post on X. The official White House account posted the holiday message, “Send to your Valentine,” along with a cartoon heart, attached to a photo of Valentine’s Day candies with phrases like “MAGA” and “love.” The largest candied heart simply says, “Daddy’s home.”
You can already see where this is heading. He’s enthusiastically mocked almost as soon as the ‘card’ went up. As was pointed out to me recently, he does pay attention to social media, so he had to have seen at least some of the comments. What’s surprising is that there doesn’t seem to have been any pushback from Trump.
The post was immediately remixed by commenters, who changed the heart to say things like, “Daddy’s a pedophile,” or “Epstein’s home.” Notable analysts also chimed in, with ex-GOP lawmaker Adam Kinzinger saying, “For a group of people that are supposedly not Gay….. Interesting.” //// Award-winning author Jennifer Erin Valent weighed in with, “It’s becoming increasingly evident that the people in this administration have no concept of how insanely stupid and grotesque they look to every sentient, mature human on the planet.” //// Author Shannon Watts also added, “I’ll never understand so-called alpha men who want to be spanked by an insane smelly orange elderly man.”
That last one had me laughing so hard it spooked our cats, because hilarious! The snark is lovely. Apparently, Trump didn’t see anything wrong with it, but wow, did it backfire. For a man so obsessed with hiding his involvement with Epstein, this was a big mistake. It’s hard to understand. Trump is not always easy to comprehend (we can discuss this at a later date).
Camille MacKenzie, a self-identified social conservative, went even further: “This official account reads like a pedophile’s diary.” //// Union insider John Ryan E said, “Imagine calling Trump daddy,” and asked, “What is wrong with you?” //// Environmental scientist Bo Gardiner also said, “Our country has fallen into the hands of the most nauseating cult in existence.”
The sooner it fades away, the happier we’ll be. It certainly sounds like other cults, except for the whole dying thing. Charismatic (we can also discuss that another time) leader with absolute control over people, and they will do anything he tells them to. Ick. It feels slimy just typing it out. “DADDY’S HOME.” along with all its ambiguities will, and, most likely has, resulted in unwanted visceral, and, some other very unpleasant autonomic, psychological and other physical reactions in right minded people. ‘P’OTUS has no insight, nor shame, nor conscious, nor compass.
You wrote that ‘P’OTUS has no “conscious.” I’m not sure whether you meant “conscience” or “consciousness.” Or both. I can see an argument for either. (Grammarly suggests “conscience.”)
