Or an alternate title: “He did WHAT?” Trump idly mused about annihilating Iran in his speech. To the United Nations. His wandering speeches are wandering the wrong way. In this case, it’s unbelievable that he mentioned this so casually in front of, essentially, the world. If we’re not pariahs yet, it’s running toward us: Iran and the Iran War. And Trump. This would be a war crime. There’s no getting around it for Trump or the military who follow the order. We have to fervently hope that someone in the activation line of the football would say no. But we can’t be certain anyone will.
After all that has been done with Maduro, Venezuela, and their boats (remember that double-tap per Hegseth’s order), and this stupid, illegal war with Iran, it’s not looking good for someone to say no now. They had chances to say it with Venezuela, and they didn’t. And now we have Trump idly talking about genocide in front of the United Nations. He’s gone back to this for months. He has no idea what happens when someone drops a nuke, no matter if it’s big or small. He probably can’t understand it.
Why can’t we, the people, get him the hell out of office? He is deteriorating day by day, both physically and mentally. We can’t. It’s up to his ‘cabinet’, and not us. And if we are horrified, imagine how the Iranian representative felt. Imagine how the rest of the world felt. Genocide. Just casually off-the-cuff rambling that Trump does. We’re used to it, but that does NOT mean we would support dropping a nuclear bomb on someone. We’re better than that.
Actually, let’s tighten up on that Trump speech. We are used to his rambling. The rest of the world may not be used to it. We have to live with the jerk. Anyone in another country could look at Truth Social, or Xitter, to see what’s going on in the country and what we are living with. But it’s different when you are the ones experiencing this and others when they are just reading about it.
Holy shizzle, America. Our duly elected president, by 1.5%, is talking about wiping another country off the map. Let’s hear from Raw Story:
Delivering his address to the United Nations in New York Tuesday, Trump posed a rhetorical question regarding his deeply unpopular war against Iran. “Will a deal be made,” he asked, before juxtaposing it with an alternative: “Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic, and do it quickly?” He also pondered aloud in front of representatives from the world over whether he should “drive [Iran] into hell with no chance of survival and no hope of future greatness or generations.” “It was jarring to hear the president of the United States openly threatening to annihilate a nation, considered a war crime, from the podium of the United Nations,” Farnaz Fassihi wrote Tuesday. “It was a remarkable moment: a threat from the U.N. floor, by a world leader, to wipe out an entire nation,” David E. Sanger wrote.
It seems that the only one who wasn’t shocked was Trump himself. This man is literally losing his mind. They need to invoke the 25th Amendment and get him gone. JD Vance isn’t much better, but we can at least guess he’s not going to nuke Iran. Well, we hope he won’t. The other removal is impeachment, but it requires a lot that must be done. It starts with the House, moves to the Senate, and then back to both to discuss removing him from office. That one is iffy.
Our ‘president’ is losing his mind, and Congress is under his boot. They are complicit in this nuttiness by allowing him to take nearly all Republicans and making them do what he wants. How can they live with themselves, seeing Trump sliding down the hill into dementia or something similar? How can they step aside and ignore the physical issues as well? They need to take an honest look at themselves, and we could hope they see how far they have gone towards the insanity of Trump. How can they be blind to what is going on in America because of what Trump has done?
Well, they won’t take the time to do some internal reflection because then they will have to truly see what they have done through Trump’s orders? How about the Big Ugly Bill that has screwed everyone except for the insanely rich? There’s more, so, so much more. And it’s a half-decent guess they will make trouble when Democrats take over. Our president mused on nuking Iran in front of the United Nations, ‘til they got up and left. Welcome to America. We hope you like getting screwed.
