What on earth is going through this man’s head? He loved the news. He loved getting out there and getting his face on TV. But he’s banned two major and one middle news agencies, following a Raw Story reporter being banned earlier this week. How long is Trump going to do this until no one will cover him except a far-far-right podcaster? Part of Fox News has already abandoned him, although he still has a few diehards.
He’s even gone after Voice of America, surprisingly, and used an EO to shut it down. They have been struggling to get up and running again. He’s apparently having fits because people aren’t bowing down to him, and they are not in the business of flattering someone who has nothing to write about that’s not, well, bad. And for all we know, people outside the US could be watching and reading to keep up with the hell we are going through right now.

Oy. Trump is on a fake news binge again. Time to recycle that old saw. This time he is actually banning people from the entire complex. That’s new. But what Trump won’t realize is that there are other ways to get news outside of the White House Press Corps. Just because he banned them, it doesn’t mean they will not do stories about him.
His ban is a prop that won’t last long, especially when they get a bombshell story like this one. And we can write about him from outside, as we do here at Pz. That’s easy (and fun). The bans will have no effect on the organizations. It leaves room for much mockery, among other things. We’ll probably start seeing some of that soon. It will be entertainment for days.
If this were some years ago, before smartphones were really available, it might have been a problem. You would have relied on voice recorders, scribbled notes, and a 35mm camera. All that isn’t necessary anymore. Now we have a big, wide internet to go to for information, and we can bet that these folks know how to work it. Whoop-dee-doo, Trump has banned more newspersons from the White House and campus; We’ll get our information another way. Trump is flapping his gums again. What’s new about that?
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love.
