What is wrong with this picture? On the one hand you have Donald Trump complaining about yet another assassination attempt upon his life, yet the very same day he takes it upon himself to boost a disturbingly militant and negative video. When Trump was in Las Vegas a few days ago he went out of his way to say he wouldn’t use the word “joy” because the Harris/Walz campaign had already coopted it for their purposes. We believe him. There is no joy whatsoever in the meme you’re about to see. This is abrasive, jarring, disturbing, militant, aggressive, scary and a lot of other descriptors we could use: but “joy” or “positive” won’t be on the list.

Evidently Trump can’t discern that there’s a causal connection between him claiming to be “retribution” and the fact that disturbed individuals with violent propensities are picking up military-grade firearms and proceeding to stalk him.
But on other levels this makes perfect sense. Trump loves to talk about dictators who are “president for life” or who “rule with an iron fist.” He just loves all that. And don’t forget back in 2017 when Trump was pondering having tanks roll down Pennsylvania Avenue because he wanted a nice military style parade like his strongmen buddies abroad have. He thought that was totally cool.
