I swear to God, this shit makes my week! Both the New York Times as well as New Yorker are reporting that Traitor Tot is telling close confidants that he has already made up his mind on a 2024 presidential run, and could announce his candidacy as soon as September.

Please Dios, let it be so, and the sooner the better. This is a potential slow moving train wreck not only for Trump, but for the whole GOP that it’s hard to even know where to start. There are two major pitfalls. Let’s look at them.

Look. Despite Trump’s maniacal base, and the slobbering toadies of the GOP caucus, Trump. Just. Ain’t. That. Popular. A recent poll of Registered Republicans showed that only 48% of them want Trump to run again in 2024. And multiple straw polls at various GOP state conventions actually show Trump trailing FL Demagogue Ron Pissantis.

GOP leadership is reportedly literally begging His Lowness to hold off until after the midterms before making an announcement. And there’s good reason for them to be terror stricken.

In 2018, Trump did everything but handprint  his name on ballots to make the midterms about himself. The GOP lost 40 House seats and control of the House. In 2020, Trump was on the ballot. The GOP almost retook control of the House, but Trump got smoked because people didn’t vote the top spot on the ballot.

In 2022, in order to show his strength in retaining control of the party, Trump has stuck his finger into just about every down ballot race he can find. And some of them are winning. Enough to put what should be a slam dunk election for the GOP in serious doubt.

If Trump announces in September, the entire paradigm of the election changes. Remember, Biden ran in 2020 on Saving the soul of America from Trump. If Trump announces in September, every Democratic candidate, incumbent and challenger, can force Trump loyalists on the ballot to tie themselves to him, costing them moderate GOP votes, or distance themselves from Trump, alienating Trump’s base. Either way, House seat margins are too narrow to lose one or the other.

Here’s the second underwater stump, and like almost everything involving Don the Con, it centers around money. Let’s just set up the whole thing in chronological order, so that it all makes sense at the end.

Within days of losing the election to Biden, Trump started sending out e-mails, texts, and social media blasts announcing the Legal Defense Fund to Stop The Steal! Trump drained more than $100 million from his sheeple, strangling RNC fundraising efforts. Just one problem. The J6 committee has already proven that the fund didn’t exist! Instead, Trump funneled the money into his newly created Save America Leadership PAC, the leakiest kind of PAC there is, because the rules for expenditure are so loose.

Let’s say that Trump announces his 2024 candidacy on, say, September 10th. The first thing he’ll do is to set up a campaign donation website. Great, you’re thinking to yourself, he already has $100 million to start with! Except no, he doesn’t have a campaign penny to his name.

The FEC has strict regulations regarding the expenditure of PAC and Super PAC funds. PAC’s and Super PAC’s are independent of any campaign or candidate. Their ads cannot endorse or support any candidate, they have to be contrast ads, basically attack ads. And FEC law prohibits Trump from transferring any money from his PAC to his campaign fund. And here’s the kicker. As long as Trump has any role in the PAC, they can’t even run attack ads, since FEC law prohibits coordination between a PAC and a campaign.

So, Trumpenstein starts off with about $100 million he can’t even use. And if you think Trump is going to divest himself from $100 million, you need an intervention. Because Trump can use that money on personal travel, and he needs it for his legal fees. But here’s where it becomes an unmitigated disaster for the GOP, and the RNC in particular.

Let’s just stick with the original example, and say Trump- announces of September 10th. The first thing he’ll do is to send out an all media blast requesting donations to let him hit the ground running. That just happens to coincide with the last 2 months before the midterm elections, when national parties are most desperate for cash to get their candidates over the finish line. Let’s say Trump raises $30 million. That’s $30 million the RNC is desperate for to boost up flailing candidates in competitive districts and states.

And here’s the McGuffin. Trump. Won’t. Stop. Even after the midterms, Trump will send out endless blasts soliciting cash from the sheeple, cash the RNC desperately needs to set up a war chest for 2024. And if you think that Hair Twitler is going to chip in to help out the RNC, forget the intervention, and check into an institution.

And so, for being too stupid, self centered, and arrogant to even learn the basics of FEC campaign laws, even your second time around, and placing the entire Republican party in mortal peril, Former President Donald John Trump, stand up and take a bow, FOOL!

  1. I do wish you’d tone down your foul language somewhat. I’ve been kicked off of Facebook at least 5 times in the past six months for saying something negative about Trump. I share your articles on my Facebook page and don’t want to be kicked off because of your bad language. I agree with you but as an 83 1/2 year old lady, I’m not supposed to use foul language. Thank you for the tone of your articles. I’m very much afraid of the next election. What is it going to take to awaken the Democrats and kick their rear ends to the voting booths? They’re too complacent and complacency is as bad as ignorance is where the Repugnuts are concerned.

    • Thank you for your inpot…I calue all of my readers…I’m not sure what language I used that would fall afoul of Facebooks rules, but since I have Facebook and don’t een hava a page, what would I know…I’ll try to moderate it a bit in the future, although if their probem isn’t so much obscenity as criticizing Trump, I’m not sure there’s much I can do there…

    • I’m a little over 84 and I don’t like seeing that kind of language on Facebook, especially the F word. There’s an A word that I use, but only when it is the only word that fits.

  2. Please, please let him announce in Sept. He is the most polarizing figure in politics. If he is running, makes it easier to tie all rethugs to him and the suburbs will rebel again, ala 2018.

  3. And we all know how strictly FEC rules are enforced.
Trump’s gonna Trump and as evidenced by the impotence of the Garland DOJ, nobody’s gonna do squat about it.

  4. My feisty ol’ Granny’s well into her nineties and she’s noted round the retirement home for telling Republican residents to “Fuck off and die, scumbags.”

  5. WAIT WAIT .. discuss w URSULA etc but I thought he was only going to announce so that Mouse Merrick etc can’t charge him with anything… and ALM his legal woes will be gone for the entire campaign.. ??!!
