John McCain once said, “This isn’t a nice business we’re in,” and Harry Reid opined that “politics has a feral side to it.” Both are correct statements and they’re also reflective of a more gracious day and age. Now the political narrative is vicious and cutting as a matter of course and it’s been that way since 2015 and it’s going to be that way until the GOP passes Trump from its system like a kidney stone.
Today’s verbal slugfest began in the morning when a tape of Bill Barr, describing what a “horror show it is when he’s [Trump] left to his own devices,” was released. If you didn’t catch that, here it is.
Here’s Trump’s takedown of Bill Barr. Barr’s getting the “Sloppy Steve” treatment. I’m wondering where the nickname is?
The total irony of all of this, and the tragedy, is that Barr makes his contempt for Trump known, but he’s also stated that if Trump gets the nomination in 2024, he’ll vote for him.
So what is the moral of the story? It doesn’t matter if you’re a total moron, if your own former attorney general tells the world that every chance he gets, you still can get elected to a second term?
Barr just excoriated Trump in this short clip. He pulled no punches. But yet he’ll pull a voting lever for the man he describes as “undisciplined” and a “horror show.” No matter how thoroughly phuqued Trump is and what he has done to the GOP, make no mistake, they’ll put him right back in if they possibly can.
This is why we’re in the mess we’re in. Power before principle.
I ‘d say the moral to the story is that Bill Barr has no morals.
Included in that, after making the observations of Trump-O’s incompetence, that he would still vote to return him to that position makes me question his patriotism as well as his judgement and plain common sense.
He is Republican. Power, enriching themdelved, supporting the Christian Nationalists aka their base, and making the world safe for billionaire donors is all they care about.

There’s a reason I sometimes refer to Barr as “Bilirubin” Barr. Bilirubin is a chemical in the blood that’s responsible for different things happening in different parts of the body. (too much or too little is bad, and in some cases quite serious) What’s that got to do with Barr you ask? Well, our bodies are remarkable in regulating themselves including maintaining the proper amount of this enzyme, meaning our bodies get rid of excess amounts. And how our bodies do so is why I use this as an insult to Barr. Bilirubin breaks down to be shed from the body so it can be excreted in our urine and feces. And that’s what give urine its yellow color and feces its brown color. In blunt terms, Bilirubin is the coloring agent in sh!t! Seems rather appropriate when talking about Barr, don’t you think?
I agree frump…barr was a disaster and a traitor! Who’s the moron that appointed him attorney General? That asswipe should be tarred and feathered! Oops!

A lot of ‘Conservatives’ I’ve known seem to think being conservative means you don’t smoke or drink or fool around. I’ve also noticed they feel they are superior to blacks, etc. because they are white and thus vote Republican because they think Democrats all have vices and buy black votes with welfare money. They also feel blacks get all the government goodies. I don’t think I know any that kill a person just because they are black, but you know it would be easier for them if they already feel that person is inferior.
Trump didn’t make the Republican party. The Republican party made them. Oh, and I must admit I feel Republicans are inferior and feel they caused most every problem the world has.
