Oh, Ronna, poor Ronna, I’m feeling so sad. Trumpty just crapped on the GOP and I know you’ll take it bad. Ronna McDaniel is not going to have a good day today, no Sir, not when she gets wind of this one. Donald Trump has made the decision that he’s going to be interviewed by Tucker Carlson the night of the first GOP primary debate. That makes perfect sense that Trump would do a counter programming maneuver.
So I guess that means he’ll be on Twitter, or X-crement, whatever TF, where Carlson has some kind of a podcast. That’s putting money in Elon Musk’s pocket, but I guess you can’t have everything, right? If Trump could have devised a way to screw both the GOP and Elon, I’m sure he would have.

It is comical indeed that Trump would compare himself to a 1984 Reagan. Reagan, if the memory of that painful night has lapsed from your memory and I envy you if that’s the case, took 49 states. The sole blue spot on the map was Minnesota, Walter Mondale’s home state. Believe me, if there’s one nightmare image that will cause a Democrat to awaken screaming, that’s the one. Most horrible political image in history, bar none.
And maybe Trump is comparing himself to Reagan on that level, too. Maybe it’s not just that Reagan was so high in the polls in 1984 that he felt no need to debate — and it wasn’t a realistic consideration to primary the man, for God’s sake, he was the incumbent and expected to win. Maybe Trump thinks he’ll sweep the board with 49 states. Maybe he’s that deluded. Who knows?
All I knew is that Ronnie wasn’t: 1) already defeated once; 2) didn’t have 91 felony counts against him; 3) nor four indictments pending; 4) nor a civil law suit with E. Jean Carroll, his second, coming up in January. But Trump does have these strikes against him.
Trump being mocked by Newsmax is a first. I wonder who they want to see get the GOP nomination?
We’ll all just watch. What else can we do? But Ronna must be losing it right now. This is pure sabotage. Plus, Trump has not pledged to debate or to support the GOP candidate, unless it’s himself, of course. Good luck, Ronna. You are going to need it.
Nice nod to Arthur Kopit Ursula! And like you, I’ve been a huge fan of Mr. Vonnegut since junior high school. Book reading is found to cause such side effects as critical thinking,curiosity,empathy and “gasp” understanding!
Vonnegut lived through the firestorm of Dresden, which killed hundreds of thousands of civilians. Dresden had no serious military value, it was done to ‘demoralize’ the Germans by destroying completely one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The madness of human beings on full display. He never recovered completely, even trying suicide. He wrote all those dark comedies, full of truths, to try and come to peace with the insanity of the human race. He finally got approved for a masters degree in anthropology, by writing the book Cat’s Cradle, many years after his thesis was rejected. A book full of funny observations, except for the complete destruction of the world by Ice 9. It was supposed to be about a genuis researcher who fathered the atom bomb. I know in my bones he was part of my karass. What’s that you say? Read the book. It should be required reading along with Slaughterhouse Five.
It may be entertaining to watch the GOP debates to binge on Christie trolling trump. He’s developed it into an art form. I doubt he’s in it to win it.

Ronnie raygun may not have been indicted, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t guilty. he just had loyal followers who went to prison for him.
