I have one finger compulsively twitching on the Truth Social tab and it is dead, dead for a ducat, dead. I mean Dracula has more life in him at noon when his coffin gets prematurely sprung open than Donald Trump is exhibiting tonight. Trump was bragging four hours ago about how the Jews in New Jersey were all behind Jack Ciatterelli and more (the Yeshiva students) were to come. Oh yeah, the Jews were going to pull it out for Ciatterelli in this tense race. Here, take a look.
Trump’s “COMPLETE AND TOTAL ENDORSEMENT” means Jack Shit not Ciatterelli tonight in the State of New Jersey.
Those numbers just now changed at 6:10 p.m. Pacific to 57.5 to 41.9 with 51% of the vote counted. This race will probably get called pretty soon. The way they figure these things out is to assess the statistical probability of Ciattarelli winning enough of the remaining percentage of the uncounted vote to pull the race out of the bag and that is not likely at this moment.
The New York Times is reporting that the race is now 57.6 with 52% of the vote counted. Why, could it be that Donald Trump doesn’t have the power to be a kingmaker anymore? Is that what the message is here tonight?
I love that the Democrats are mopping the floor with the GOP tonight because what I have been saying for nine, interminable months now is that Trump won the last election by a measely 1.5%. That has been my mantra. And tonight we are seeing how utterly weak and impotent Trump is.
Trump didn’t win because he’s so wanted, he won because of a series of blunders on the part of the Democrats, some of which were completely unintentional. Joe Biden went through an aging spurt as do we all at a certain point. He didn’t leave the race soon enough and allow for a convention. Kamala Harris did a superb job with the situation she was handed, which was not a good one. And even with those blunders, we only lost by 1.5%.
We’re done losing now. We’ve got our mojo back and the proof in that pudding is that Donald Trump is as silent as the tomb. No action on Truth Social, still. I wouldn’t look for any tonight. He’s checked out and hiding.
Trump is a complete wimp. He can’t handle the downside of politics. Politics is a pendulum. It always swings back and forth. Trump can’t handle the return punch. He never could. But wait until the punch lands next November. Mama mia, I can taste it now. Because there’s a larger message in tonight’s victories and that is this: The GOP can’t afford to ride Trump’s coattails anymore because he hasn’t got any. That’s the message of a 1.5% victory. Keep your mouth shut and be humble. Which Trump, being Trump, cannot do.
So what are the Republicans to do after a shellacking like this? My best guess is that it’s going to be every man for himself and Trump is going to get dumped.
