I am not the least bit surprised to see this. In my previous post, I mentioned that it was unthinkable to me that Donald Trump was hemorrhaging support amongst senior citizens and doesn’t seem to notice it. I said that the Big Lie was the Waterloo that he keeps going towards. This newest development merely cements that theory.

The 282-page letter from Trump’s attorneys to CNN executives, dated July 21, calls for the network to retract or correct numerous on-air statements and published articles about Trump that the lawyers allege are false and defamatory.
The letter goes on to cite dozens of examples, many of which relate to the network’s coverage of Trump’s repeated claims that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent. CNN coverage frequently referred to those claims as “lies,” “false narratives” and “baseless theories,” among other terms.
The lawsuit alleges those descriptions are “false and defamatory,” in part because Trump genuinely believes his claims that the election was stolen.
“Without regard for President Trump’s genuine belief in his statements, CNN has published numerous articles characterizing him as a ‘liar’ and the purveyor of the ‘Big Lie,’” the letter to CNN states.
But perhaps in a preview of how Trump’s lawsuit is likely to be received, dozens of lawsuits filed after the 2020 alleging there was widespread fraud that tipped the scales in favor of Joe Biden were summarily dismissed because of a lack of evidence, in some cases by judges appointed by Trump.
Let’s see if the subjective, excuse me “genuine” belief of a madman is able to overcome a mountain of evidence to the contrary.
This is just like living in Wonderland. It doesn’t matter what the facts are, only what you believe them to be. “The words mean what you want them to mean.”
I honestly believe that we are watching the final crack up of Trumpty Dumpty. He has to lash out and this latest impotent thrust is merely comical and a waste of time. But hey, we all need a good laugh, amirite?

His go-to distraction from the truth has always been attacking someone in a court action, his last 60 or so court entrees were thrown out by the judges … a person of his mental-midget problems is way under his being considered anything but the freak he really has been …
If he wants to play court games we need to be reimbursed for the millions of dollars it cost for him to visit golf courses instead of being a president … things like claiming Putin’s excuses over our own intelligence, in front of a global audience, should be seen as the treason it is, as spelled out in our Constitution …
There are SO MANY examples of his blabbing stuff to Russia and supporting Russian interference in our elections, they should keep his bedding in a freezer for more comfortable nights …
He will never win this suit, but I sincerely doubt the suit will ever actually materialize. Probably empty threats. But I wish he really would sue because it will be very entertaining to see him thoroughly smacked down after the 60 or so law suits in which he was never able to produce any evidence of fraud.
and we also might miss another episode of rudy and the fart sniffer. Not sure who former guy is using but quite frankly given his allergic reaction to paying his bills, I’d say these lawyers are either the rudy circus show or attorneys that cannot even make the F troop he’s been using.
I suspect this is another example of former guy attempting to deflect attention right when it is going to be focused upon him in a very big way by D.O.J. (about effing time BTW).

Discovery should be really interesting. Especially when he can’t produce any evidence to back his claims.
Interesting wording about Trump truly believing what he’s saying. Oh boy I hope if he actually files that’s in there. But, both now and after (if a lawsuit is actually filed) the uniform response from every outlet should be:
“We look forward to Discovery and Donald Trump’s sworn deposition regarding what he believed and what he was told by advisors.”
I wonder who in his circle of advisors will draw the short straw and have to remind that a) He’s not President and can’t run out the clock anymore and will have to both turn over records and sit for depositions, and b) His history when he has had to sit for depositions isn’t a good one – he winds up losing!
The Roberts Court has already ruled the words mean what you want them to mean and that everyone is entitled to their own “facts”. RWNJ “relijus zealots” railed against the ACA requirements to provide birthcontrol because they “cause abortions”. Though they do NOT, SCROTUM ruled to the nut jobs they do, therefore they do. The turd emperor “genuinely believes” his lies so he’ll win.
The Roberts Court has got problems of its own right now, thanks to one Clarence Thomas running his mouth about future plans. His wife deciding to support insurrection is going to give the opposition leverage to make him resign or they can expand that court.

Am I the only one who thinks he might be filing the lawsuit and believing he’ll win (because he’s such a winner) as a way to make up for lost RNC payments for his legal defense if he announces he’s running in 2024?

In addition to believing that Traitor Tot is the most prolific liar and biggest loser in the history of all the universes, I believe that he may also be the Anti-Christ! In any situation if you ask “What would Jesus do?”, Traitor Tot will do the most evil, harmful thing that he can!
