Yannow, that’s one consistent thing about Trump. He *never* listens. Ever. People can coax him into thinking that something substantial should be said, and make it seem like his own idea. But overall, listen? Not a chance. At least a large number of us know exactly what he’s trying to do with his hot air, but some people *cough* *MAGA* believe in his lies because Trump is their god. And as I’ve previously mentioned, anyone who tries to follow him with MAGA has some mighty big shoes to fill. But now, we have yet another example of why Trump should have stayed away from Epstein. We all know why he didn’t, since both of them were and are pedophiles. DAMN, but that’s some creepy, disgusting shizzle. Kids. They were kids. Thanks to Raw Story:

Although Donald Trump eventually severed ties with Jeffrey Epstein, banning the convicted sex trafficker from Mar-a-Lago following a 2003 incident, he had received prior warnings from his then-wife Marla Maples that he chose to disregard. According to a Wall Street Journal report released Tuesday evening, Trump’s break with Epstein came after an 18-year-old Mar-a-Lago beautician complained that Epstein pressured her for sex after being sent to his residence. This incident prompted Trump to ban Epstein from the resort. However, the Journal reports that Maples, who was married to Trump from 1993 to 1999, harbored early and prescient skepticism about Epstein—a concern shared with Mar-a-Lago staff members.

Heh. If only he had listened. But we know damn well why he stayed. Underage girls. He liked walking in when they were changing in a dressing room or backstage. There’s the famous tape about grabbing etc etc. Let’s not state specifics because it’s only going to make us angry. And so on for the few things that came out into the public eye, but how much *don’t* we know? That’s what REALLY should get us.

According to Journal reporters Joe Palazzolo, Rebecca Ballhaus, and Khadeeja Safdar, Maples, typically reserved in her public commentary about individuals, “shared concerns with Mar-a-Lago staff about Epstein soon after the club opened in 1995, according to former employees.” The Journal reports that Maples remained vague about her specific objections but told employees that something about Epstein seemed “wrong” and “off,” and that she worried about his influence on Trump. Maples also communicated these concerns directly to her husband. Despite these warnings, Epstein was not banned at that time and became a frequent visitor to the resort. Trump instructed staff to treat Epstein as a valued guest when he arrived with Ghislaine Maxwell, who “booked appointments on his behalf.”

Marla tried, she really tried. If Trump had listened, things about Epstein may not have gotten out of hand to the point they are now, with Congress having to force a law to get the files out here. Most people know to take things Trump says with a grain of salt (and that becomes a lot of salt), but MAGA believed him. And they expected the files. They kept asking. They didn’t give up, and neither did we.

But we shouldn’t have had to get a veto-proof majority (and holy cow, kudos to the ones who overcame their loyalty to Trump and made it damn near unanimous) to force a LAW through to get them. Then there’s the whole dribs and drabs the DoJ is releasing when they were supposed to be sent out ON DECEMBER 19. Pam Blondi is playing with fire here. Let’s just say it’s a pity we can’t prosecute anyone for the delays, and that includes the orange-faced wanna be dictator. *ahem* skipping ahead now:

This was not an isolated instance of Marla Maples expressing concern about Epstein. Two weeks ago, the New York Times reported that Maples privately warned a guest who attended the club with her 14-year-old daughter and a group of other teenagers in 1994: “Whatever you do, do not let her around any of these men, and especially my husband. Protect her.”

BOOM. That one hit hard. Protect her. I hope they did. We’re interested in the files for any number of reasons, but we can bet we’ll need anti-nausea meds to actually read them. Let’s hope we are all tough enough to read at least some of them, because you know that the ladies and I are going to have a rough time with some of it, and we only have the vaguest of terms that it’s there, except it is there, but one word says it all. Pedophile.

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money, especially around the holidays. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Who wants to bet the only reason for Drumpf’s action was because he was jealous Epstein got (or tried to get) to her first?

    • I won’t take that bet, thank you. I would think 18 was a little too old for them, but truth there, you never know. When I was writing this I thought about that young lady and what she must have gone through for that to become public. It’s disturbing.
