The month of February is only hours old but it looks to already be posing a challenge to our stamina and our sanity. Liz Harrington, Trump’s PR person with the game show style, just posted this as NEW! on Twitter as though she was doing a detergent commercial.
You can tell at first blush a couple of basic things:
- Trump is scared spitless that the January 6 Committee is getting closer to him. On a daily basis new stories come out about the fake electors, the plans to seize voting machines, the entire ugly plot;
- He’s told himself the Big Lie so often that now he believes it. That’s the key to Trump’s madness. He can sell the bullshit that he does to the rubes because he really believes it. Ask any actor. S/he will tell you that if you believe the part, you will be believable in the part. That’s how Trump operates.

This latest bombshell just dropped. Meanwhile, simply for context, other stories that you will see today include Madison Cawthorn attempting to sue the J6 Committee for having the hubris to investigate him and later on this week you’ll see whether Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney get formally expelled from the Republican party.
And the best story of all that we will follow is the fact that despite the fact that Trump is clearly coming apart at the psychological seams, he’s still running the GOP.
