Evidently it’s finally sunken into Donald Trump’s skull, along with the residue of the orange dye and the glue from all the bandaides, that he will be running against Kamala Harris. He went on Truth Social Tuesday morning in frequent all-caps freakout mode. What a contest this will be: Trump is white, Kamala Black, Trump is old, Kamala young (relatively. She’ll turn 60 in October.) Trump’s a felon, Kamala’s a prosecutor. Trump’s a reality TV actor who fell into the White House under circumstances which will be debated and mocked for decades, if not centuries, to come. Kamala is an educated, ambitious woman who worked her way up to where she is. Nevertheless, she is now “Lyin’ Kamala.” No, Donald, she’s Lion Kamala. But you’re close, right sound, wrong spelling.

He “took a bullet for Democracy.” Or a piece of debris. I guess we’ll never know. One thing that is true, the longer a news story goes without being fully investigated, the less the chances get of it ever getting properly investigated. Nobody is interested in whether Trump was hit by debris, even though the four cops standing a few feet from him were. Everybody is satisfied that he was “shot” by a “violent bullet” — to quote his dear wife.
Oh, well, nothing to be done. We’ve done our part here. Josh Marshall reported about the four Pennsylvania cops who were slightly injured by debris. He got his information from a local television station. Heather Cox Richardson then reported it and we mentioned it all here. But CNN, MSNBC, all the other networks evidently don’t care and they’ll run with the bullet story — even though brain trauma could be an issue, all that, if Trump was in fact hit by a bullet.
It’s a sad day when accuracy in journalism has fallen to this level, but that’s unfortunately the case. That is where we are.

I originally thought there is too much racism and misogyny in this country for her to win but now I’m thinking there is the youth vote that may just bring this around. Lets not discount the women and people of color who are also energized now. Fingers crossed!!

Does Trump actually think that his giving slur nicknames to all his opponents will make us think less of them? No, it makes anyone of average or superior intelligence realize that Trump has the mentality of a 7 year old boy. He has now done this so often that only the segment of the population who, like Trump, think like 7 year olds will fall for that. Yes, I believe that 100% of what is left of Trump’s supporters are now either mental midgets, racists, or lying grifters. I suspect also that there is huge overlap now in a Venn diagram between the mental midgets and the racists. So these two groups probably don’t add much to each other.
That may not have been true in 2016, but we have all gotten to know Trump much better now. Judging from his rally sizes his real support is way, way down, even though bots, trolls, and manipulative poll questions make it look falsely otherwise.
The only real fear I have is that Trump will have convinced certain of his criminal cohorts, including certain of his buddy dictators, to rig computer totals in the upcoming election, or otherwise screw with our voting.
