All right class, we’re going to go out on the playground here and join hands and talk about Donnie Trump. Donnie has had some issues with the Graham cracker and there’s probably going to be a fight after school. So here we go, sing it with me now.

LINDSEY’S A RINO! LINDSEY’S A RINO! LINDSEY’S A RYE-NOOOO!!!

If you missed this, and I’m sure you did unless you watch Newsmax, here is Trump turning on his golfing buddy, fluffer and purse poodle pal, Lindsey Graham.

Poor Linseed. Poor Graham Cracker. He just hasn’t figured out the first rule of Trump worship: Anything other than unequivocal endorsement at all times gets you thrown under the bus.

And then what happened? C’mon, this is an easy one: IT GOT WORSE! Here’s what Trump said about Linseed next.

The GOP has one choice now and one alone: follow this lunatic all the way down the rabbit hole or cut him loose. I’m not holding my breath waiting for the second one.

This is the state of the GOP as we speak. We’ll see what, if anything, changes.

  1. During the middle ages there were many renditions of Hell, complete with demonic entities that were grotesque. The picture u posted is more accurate. Time for the lip gloss & knee pads Lindsey. Maybe in the process u can get to be his #1 bitch again.

        • Nah. Even Satan has some taste. Why put up a monument with the faces of a bunch of losers who’ll be spending their time enduring the various tortures of the damned when he could simply spend his time watching them enduring those tortures?
What *I* think he’d do vis-à-vis a Mt Rushmore in Hell would be tailor-made for the damned soul. For instance, Donald Trump would be forced to see a Mt Rushmore with the images of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff. The 5 goobers in the cult lineup picture? I don’t really know how Satan would personalize their Mt Rushmores but probably something fitting as the Trump example I described.

  2. It would cost Graham his seat in the Senate, and even more (probably never again being able to enjoy spending time in his home state) but he has a chance to become a statesman in the eyes of history. He spent years latched on to the late Senator McCain like a lamprey who’s teeth were dug in deep to their host. I have my issues with McCain’s general political beliefs and some of his actions to be sure, but what always comes to mind when I think about him is his years as a P.O.W. For those who don’t know or never did, McCain’s father (also a graduate of the Naval Academy) was an admiral at the time, in a position of significant command. North Vietnam did in fact sometimes release long held prisoners, supposedly in keeping with when they were captured. It wasn’t many, and when all who survived were finally released the very first and some of the longest held were among those released in that final bunch. But that was the PR policy. McCain, who’d been given inadequate medical care for severe injuries sustained when he was shot down had also been tortured as we all know, and in part the severity of his treatment was due to his lineage (his grandfather was also a Naval Academy grad) and especially who his father was. There came a point when his captors realized he had nothing to tell them they didn’t already know, and that despite who his father was the U.S. wasn’t going to capitulate to satisfy an admiral with a major Pacific Command. So for PR purposes he was offered early release, what could be years in advance (which turned out to be true) of when he might hope for it. Yes, conditions had improved some for prisoners as news of the torture had gotten out but severe treatment and outright torture still took place. But as I said McCain was no longer getting the truly horrifying treatment at that point.

When offered the early release, McCain refused because North Vietnam wouldn’t release everyone taken captive before him. The officer there actually had a measure of respect for McCain, as enemies sometimes do despite being enemies. He sadly told McCain things would get worse for him (and they did) but McCain held firm. And endured years more of harsh treatment because of personal courage, integrity and loyalty to more than his own needs and desires. In Naval Aviation terms, he met the highest calling – he “kept the faith” (to his comrades and what we stood for as a nation).

If I could speak for a bit with Graham I’d remind him of this. I think he still has enough conscience left that he would be stung by having it pointed out how he KNOWS McCain felt about Trump (and vice versa), and he himself once expressed. That Trump is who he always was, and that he (Graham) had sold his soul to the devil. I’d remind Graham that if the fascist takeover his Party, led by Trump succeeds it might take decades, or even a hundred years or more for it to fail (as such movements eventually do) and that his name as things currently stand will be prominent among those spoken of who didn’t merely stand aside and allow, but actively enabled the demise of the American experiment, and along with it a huge weakening of democratic governments around the world.

Hence his one chance to avoid that. Stand up loud and proud, and never again back down from speaking of Trump the way he did prior to Trump gaining his foothold with the MAGA crowd that has taken over the GOP. He has surely personally witnessed Trump temper tantrums and he needs to speak up about them. He surely has details about the attempt to steal Georgia’s electoral votes. Hell, he might even have legal liability and again, though it would cost him his seat he should RUN to the prosecutors there, cut a deal and spill every detail of what he knows. Then go on TV and repeat everything the prosecutors will allow him to say – they might want him to hold back on certain things to protect their case. The same is true with the Jan. 6 Committee.

He should summon the ghost of John McCain and show the same kind of courage, accepting that things will for a long time, a time frame during which a week will feel like a year or more of vilification from other conservatives. But if he were to do so, even though it would take a while for others to begin to step up I believe some would. And over time more and more would. I truly believe he could blow a hole in the dam containing the reservoir that powers Trumpism. He can start speaking truth, and at the same time do what Nicole Wallace has done and continues to do which is apologize for having taken active part in very bad stuff.

He has a chance to, perhaps in as little as a decade or two be remembered as someone of courage willing to sacrifice political power and prestige AND endure vilification & even threats to right the wrongs he has enabled. And ultimately be remembered as a statesman instead of a cowardly villain. I have significant doubt as to whether Graham possesses the necessary strength of character. There is a huge amount of evidence he does not. But I do have some hope that he might try. Not much but some. Time is running out for him to make the right choice.

    • Linseed is not up for reelection until 2026. If he had a spine and some moral compass, he would do as you suggest. Daily he proves that he has neither.

  3. Let’s see now, Sen. Graham has his Juris Doctorate and served our military in the JAG office but he “doesn’t know what he’s talking about”. I agree with Sen. Graham…not at all really but to say he “doesn’t know what he’s talking about” is something I do NOT say. If we needed any MORE proof of former guy’s complete and utter lack of working grey matter between his ears this would certainly qualify.

  4. He’s a fucking traitor. He threw a tantrum to support a rapist being on the Supreme Court. He’s a rotten son of a bitch who has thrown the weight of his office behind Trump everytime. EVERY FUCKING TIME. Hey marine. I have one question. Would u want this panty waste in the foxhole with you when the shit hits the fan? I think we both know he’s a waste of humanity. I wish ill on every child killer that’s ever walked the earth. I agree with Hunter S Thompson…if there were any real justice he would be in the belly of a hammerhead shark headed south of Easter Island.
