If you watch these clips of Fox News as they attempt to cover Donald Trump’s efforts at counter programming during the Democratic National Convention, they are half hearted at best. There seems to be a profound resignation, a going through the motions. And it’s not just Fox News, it’s Trump himself. That’s how he is behaving. He did a very boring speech in Pennsylvania today, while J.D. Vance was busy getting laughed at in Philly because he wanted Swiss cheese on a cheesesteak. I’ll tell you what the smart money is saying, just let Vance and Trump keep talking. They can win this election for the Democrats far more than any strategist ever possibly could.

And it just gets worse. Trump is going through the motions. All he does is recite the same tired old lines. Nothing is landing. His Kamala is a commie schick never took off. People are falling asleep over the same stolen election drivel.

Trump was brought here to speak on the economy. And normally, the old adage from the days of Bill Clinton would hold true, “It’s the economy, stupid.” Not in 2024. In 2024 it is preserving our way of government as opposed to putting the levers of power back under the control of a lunatic. You undoubtedly heard that J. Michael Luttig, the retired conservative judge said today that he was voting for Kamala Harris because while they may have wildly different public policy views, they are of one mind when it comes to preserving democracy, the Constitution and the rule of law.
That is in fact what this election is about, is safeguarding our government from the populist reality TV phony and not letting him and his dangerous henchmen back into power.

I like this next one, “I lost billions of dollars being president.” Well, Truth Social should pay that back, right? Oh, and then there’s Jared. He’s got a couple of billion he never would have had if Donald wouldn’t have been prez. Go ask him for it.
Trump: I would have made billions of dollars at this job if I wanted to play that game.. instead I took the job very seriously and very importantly pic.twitter.com/WkZeRvsBvD

I have personally never seen a presidential candidate so dead. I have seen candidates that knew they probably couldn’t win and took one for the team. Well do I remember Walter Mondale and Bob Dole. I will say this about both men, they gave it their all. They didn’t just phone in the job, they got out there and did it with their heart in it, win lose or draw.
Trump can’t do this anymore. Trump had a fluke in 2016. He was soundly defeated in 2020 and that should have been the last we ever heard of him. Wrong. His legal problems compelled him to return in 2024 and your guess is as good as anybody’s what the GOP is going to do about 2028. The Republicans are literally doing Einstein’s definition of insanity, the same thing over and over and expecting Trump will capture lightning in a bottle again.

because extremely normal people tell everyone they are extremely normal??? No Von Shitzinpants, only weird people say that. Normal people don’t need to tell everyone the obvious.
Trump’s normality is way outside the bell curve distribution of what is considered normality. What else would one expect from such an outlier of abnormality.
My immediate reaction on hearing this?
Someone get grandpa a chair.
” I’ll tell you what the smart money is saying, just let Vance and Trump keep talking. They can win this election for the Democrats far more than any strategist ever possibly could.”
The cunning Democrat plan of “Just let them speak” continues to work well.
And who else over 11 years of age says “I took the job very seriously and importantly.”. It’s like he believes if he uses ‘big’ words, people will think he’s smart, instead, by using the wrong syntax he only demonstrates his stupidity – and his nearly 11 years of age equivalent vocabulary.
