Anybody heard a weather report from Hell lately? I’m asking, because Donald Trump and I are of the same opinion about something, which is that Ron DeSantis really should just hang it up. The sooner the better. Trump is in Iowa for a town hall event, with Sean Hannity. DeSantis is countering this maneuver with spending a lot of money on an attack ad, but it is the weakest and stupidest attack ad you’ve ever seen in your life or likely ever will see.
Again, DeSantis is terrified of taking a stance against Trump. So he puts forth this weak faux-pablum of an excuse for a political ad. I don’t know who this is designed to persuade but this is ridiculous. And it’s not even Trump’s real voice and that piece of information isn’t disclosed, which adds to the pathetic level of the entire thing.
Pro Tip, Ron: Jack Kennedy didn’t do things this way.
The voice, which sounds like a stilted, somewhat robotic Trump, is not actually that of the former president — it was generated by AI, a source familiar with the ad confirmed.
The voice uttered words that appeared verbatim on Trump’s Truth Social platform, but there is nothing explicit in the ad that says that the voice is not Trump’s.
The ad admonishes the former president, saying, “Trump should fight Democrats not Republicans.” […]
Politico first reported on the ad. According to a release by Never Back Down, the ad is part of a seven-figure ad buy in Iowa. It will be airing on the same day Trump will be in the state for a town hall with Fox News’ Sean Hannity in Cedar Rapids.
Trump campaign senior adviser Chris LaCivita blasted Never Back Down and a top adviser to the PAC, Jeff Roe.
“The blatant use of AI to fabricate President Trump’s voice is a desperate attempt by Always Back Down and Jeff Roe to deceive the American public because they know DeSanctimonious’ campaign is on life support,” LaCivita said in a statement to CBS News. He added, “After losing big donors and slashing their staff, they have now outsourced their work to AI just like they would like to outsource American jobs to China.”
What a piece of wuss DeSantis is. Cowardice in every fiber of his being. He is literally under the delusion that he can become the GOP nominee without taking Trump on. He’s depending upon the justice system to take Trump down and then he’s going to simply step over Trump’s body and stroll to the nomination, without having alienated a single MAGA soul.
He believes this, evidently. Okay. Let’s see how it plays out. Move over Scott Walker, we’ve got a real flame out coming, to oust your place in the history books.

Former guy looks extraordinarily old and tired. Isn’t he a couple of years younger than President Biden? Just goes to show doing things like riding a bike instead of a golf cart keeps you young.
