Donald Trump was going to bomb Iran back to the Stone Age the other day and powsibly start WWIII yesterday, but all that is off the table now. Now we are ready to herald in a Golden Age in the Middle East, just like the Golden Age we’re supposed to be having here in America. Not sure what that’s going to look like in either place but here’s Trump’s take on it.

I’m sure they’re guffawing in Tehran and well they should be. Rubble is all over the streets. Things don’t seem so golden. But this is vintage Trump. His bluffing only got him so far and now he’s going back into his peacemaker mode and will probably start talking about the Nobel Peace Prize next. His psychosis is predictable.

Meanwhile, Iran fired on Israel minutes after the U.S. ceasefire was announced so Trump may want to rethink the Golden Age business. Or maybe he’ll wait for Netanyahu to call him first. If he’d stop listening altogether to Netanyahu and Hegseth he’d be better off.

  1. So if it’s to be just like Trump’s “Golden Age” in the USA then I suppose it will involve huge inflationary price hikes of just about everything, destruction of civilian governments and massive investment in the armed forces. Terrific.

  2. Well, Trump has showered something gold colored over there just as he’s done here. Nice of Putin to provide Trump the Russian hookers for those ‘showers.’

  3. He’s trying to spin this as a victory?

The United States just lost the war in Iran — two aircraft carriers, dozens of military aircraft, $47 billion, every military base in the Gulf, and the Strait of Hormuz. In 38 days.

Trump issued his ultimatum at 8 AM: reopen the Strait of Hormuz by 8 PM or “a whole civilization will die tonight.” By 6 PM, he’d folded. The USS Gerald R. Ford left the theatre on fire. The USS Abraham Lincoln was rendered inoperable after Iran fired over 1,000 drones andmissiles at it. US bases across the Gulf — in the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar — were ‘made uninhabitable’, reduced to rubble. The tab? Conservatively $50 billion and climbing. Around 15 Americans dead. Hundreds more wounded. Ability of American military power to actually achieve political aims, zero.

Welcome to the TACO Doctrine: Totally Abandoned, Capitulated, and
    Owned.

The Art Of The Deal indeed.

    Let’s compare:

Obama’s Iran Deal: Zero Americans killed. Zero Iranians killed. Zero bombs dropped. Iran’s nuclear program frozen under international inspection. Achieved through years of multilateral diplomacy. Cost: diplomatic effort. Trump dumps it as soon as he could because… Obama?

Trump’s Iran Ceasefire: Approximately 15 Americans dead. Hundreds wounded. An estimated 1,900+ Iranian civilians were killed. Forty-plus days of air strikes. Two carrier strike groups are effectively out of the war theatre. EVERY US base in the Gulf was damaged or destroyed. $45–50 billion spent. And at the end of it: Iran demanding — and
getting “workable” — full sanctions relief, uranium enrichment rights, Hormuz control, (Which wasn’t even on the table before the attack.) US military withdrawal, and a UN resolution to lock it all in permanently.

MAGA called Obama’s deal a surrender. What do you call this?
