Thank you to everyone who actually clicked on this piece. Can’t give *everything* away in the title, or in the prelude. So, here we are with another Cabinet member expected to get fired within the next couple of days. Bet with yourself on who it is right now before continuing to read the first quote. And here we go! My compliments to Raw Story:

Donald Trump is preparing to fire a chief member of his Cabinet after a series of gaffes left the president embarrassed, a White House insider has claimed.

Trump recently dismissed Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Attorney General Pam Bondi in quick succession, marking a dramatic purge of Cabinet members.

Yes, Donnie doesn’t deal well with embarrassment, no, not at all.  Kristi was the $200 million ad that was not authorized. Pam went because she was unable to get any of his enemies actually brought up on charges for the Revenge Tour™. The reasons for trying were pretty ridiculous. But, now, who is next? The odds (no, we are not *actually* betting, here) are for someone who has reason to be worried. It was a mess from the beginning.

FBI Director Kash Patel will be the next admin figure to be fired, according to the insider. Susan Crabtree, a political correspondent for Real Clear Politics, shared a comment from the White House source on the possible removal of Patel

… despite pressure also building for White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles following questions regarding security coming after Saturday’s shooting attempt at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

The anonymous official has claimed that Patel’s firing could come within days.

Well, that actually makes sense. Patel’s performance in his *job* has been poor. We already know all about his stupidity. There were the Olympic drinking pictures. And then, the last thing he’s done recently – panicked when an IT error locked him out. Now, we would expect that if he had been canned, it would have been done in a totally different way. But he’s so paranoid that he didn’t think to call IT, and there was the problem. He absolutely flipped out. Gee, makes us think he knows he has things hiding in the shadows that he should not have done. I wonder why.

Crabtree wrote, “A source familiar with the presidential security protocols said White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles oversees the Secret Service and has let [Secret Service Director Sean Curran] remain in his job despite numerous failures on his watch.

‘They’re about to fire Kash, and he had nothing to do with this, while Susie oversees the Secret Service, and it’s failure after failure, and she gets no blame,’ the source said.”

Patel filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against The Atlantic and staff writer Sarah Fitzpatrick on April 20, 2026, following a bombshell investigative report detailing his alleged excessive drinking and erratic behavior.

The Atlantic’s reporting cited multiple current and former FBI officials describing Patel’s unexplained absences, panic episodes when locked out of the FBI computer system, and concerning behavior patterns that raised serious questions about his fitness for office.

His lawsuit isn’t going to get him very far because we have the pictures of him drinking, we know about running the FBI from a pool in Vegas, about taking the FBI plane to see his girlfriend, and so forth. His behavior is a matter of public record. Now, he didn’t have anything to do with security for the WHCD, true, but everything else? Oh, yes. He deserves to be punted out the door. We’ll be glad to see him go. And we can hardly wait to see what moron goes in there next. Hopefully, whoever it is will have noted Kash’s behavior and won’t do that. I’m still pissed about all the experience and talent he either fired or they resigned. We lost a *lot*.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

  1. It’s hard to predict who’ll be fired for performing badly, when that’s the entire reason they were picked for their roles in the first place.

    • Oof, good point. It’s a toss-up between Patel and Hegseth. I want both of them gone except there’s the worry about would Trump put someone in that’s worse.
