Okay, we are getting into the ridiculous now. We do NOT have the right to try and force other countries to comply with our “no more DEI” rules. What happened in our country has nothing to do with others. They are different *countries*. How in the hell do they think they’re going to enforce this? I know *our* country wouldn’t comply with some other country’s “rules”.  The tRump administration can’t just up and demand it! (By the way, the above map shows our “current” allies.)

From CNBC: “Government officials have reportedly sent letters to companies in France and the European Union that hold U.S. government contracts, warning them to comply with an executive order banning diversity, equity, and inclusion programs if they want to keep their contracts. According to the document, “Department of State contractors must certify that they do not operate any programs promoting DEI that violate any applicable anti-discrimination laws and agree that such certification is material for purposes of the government’s payment decision and therefore subject to the False Claims Act.”

Really? REALLY? That’s laughable. And how in the hell do they think they’re going to enforce it? I think our allies are already looking for ways to do things that don’t include the US. And I think they are pulling away as allies. Our dictatorial demands and erratic President make it less likely that they are, oh, going to make cars for us, because of 25% tariffs. And SignalGate shows just how stupid we are about classified information. Yes, it was absolutely classified! So, what happens if they share intelligence with us and it gets leaked like this? Instant disaster, and that country will most certainly not want to continue being an ally! Talk about stupid. By all rights, they should have lost their jobs immediately. But no, Agent Orange wants to keep them because they look good on TV and they’re loyal to *him*, not the government as such.

Here, have a reaction. “The French finance ministry expressed concerns about the approach by the U.S. government, saying its values don’t reflect those of France. The development underscores growing tensions between the U.S. and Europe, particularly as the U.S. threatens tariffs on European goods, including cars and wine, and challenges European policies, such as its response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.” “Aviation and defense groups, consulting providers, and infrastructure companies are among the French companies potentially exposed to the administration’s demands.” See? The US is so arrogant to demand this. Jeez.

So, we continue to be foolish and demanding. The Mango Mandarin and his administration think they are the biggest and baddest wolf in the world. But really, their straw house is going to break down. With a huff and a puff, other countries will blow that house down. Then, where does that leave us?

*****And now, please read a very special request from our awesome boss******

Zoomers, if you can find some spare change in the sofa cushions, we could use it. April starts soon, and that is month six of this depressed media climate we now live in due to Trump Depression Syndrome. We thank you for any help you can give, and most of all, we thank you for coming here to read. Ursula

  1. Typical DonOld; do what I say or else! I guess by driving away the rest of the world, except dictators, he will say the US is respected again. He is truly out of his mind.
