To Understand The GOP MAGA House Dilemma, Understand The Mentality

This just keeps getting worse for Kevin McCarthy. He has to be going insane trying to figure out who in senior leadership was the one who dropped a dime on him with those tapes. And these new tapes aren’t just damaging McCarthy, they’re naming other GOP House caucus members. And the authors are promising more, even more damaging, wider ranging tapes to be released in conjunction with the book release. Who knows where it goes from here?

But when you look at the tapes that have been released, and you combine that with the information that has been selectively leaked or released by the 1/6 committee, and you’re immediately struck by one thing. The almost brazen contempt with with they went about their criminal, seditious business. Why so obvious?

They thought that they had it in the bag! Trump still had his head so far up Putin’s ass that he could see his tonsils. Putin would come through. The MAGA base was energized, they would come through. And with Trump in for four more years, they were home and dry. Even if the Democrats won the House, or the Senate, or both, who cared? Trump’s chew toy Attorney General would make sure that no criminal charges would follow.

And even after His Lowness lost, their devotion and faith never wavered. Mental midgets like Fratty Maddy
Cawthorn, Sugar Daddy Matt Gaetz, Laborious MTG, Louis Goober Gohmert, and Gruppenfuhrer Gosar had complete faith. There were wild assed scams and plans galore. They were sure that Trump friendly appointed judges would give their bogus fraud cases merit, missing the point that many Trump fraud claims were heard in state court.

But they had backups too. They would create fraudulent slates of Trump electors to try to vote in the electoral college vote, throwing the election to the GOP dominated House. VP Mike Pence would play ball with The Mango Messiah, refusing to certify the state electoral votes from contested states, once again throwing the decision to the House. And if all else failed, Trump would invoke the Insurrection Act, put the military in the streets, and maintain control. One way or another, they were safe as houses.

But all of that came a cropper. And these stupid fuckers are left holding the bag. The released McCarthy tapes show that McCarthy, as well as House Minority Whip Steve Scalise thought that House members like Matt Gaetz and Mo Brooks may have crossed a criminal line. And now we have Trump administration aides and support workers showing up to voluntarily testifying to the 1/6 committee, and spilling the beans on internal conversations, including names.

This is going to get interesting from here. The DOJ is already investigating the shenanigans leading up to the Capitol riot. And nothing makes a stronger impression than audio tapes. These ass clowns now have their clown asses hanging in the wind. We’ll see how they deal with it.
