If you’re on the East Coast, you’re officially 5 days from election day. If you’re not, the rest of us are slowly creeping up to meet you. But I wanted to give you something to think about when you get up in the morning, get the brain cells pumping.
Despite the continued closeness of the polls, and nothing will change now, since there isn’t enough time for last minute polling to catch up with any of the most recent Trump atrocities, But there are things going on under the surface in this election that can’t be measured in the polls, or even in the early voting data, and it all spells disaster for Traitor Tot.
Some of this has been brewing along nicely under the surface for quite a while now, but it’s finally coming to a boil right at early voting time. Some of it is late breaking, but the fact that it broke so late, but with such explosive blowback will only make it that much bigger of a shock for the Trump campaign. For coherence sake, I’ll take them one at a time.
The Abortion Issue – This issue has been percolating since the summer of 2022 when the train wreck GOP Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade. But the fact is that the GOP disastrously underestimated the damage this would do, and for good reason. Mainly, they’re arrogant, sexist pr*cks.
Joy Ann Reid encapsulated it perfectly tonight with a summary I had never considered before, but which makes perfect sense. White women got the right to vote a couple of decades before minority women did, but it came with a catch. They got that right in the sexist era that Trump grew up in, and is a time in America that his dumb ass wants to make great again.
When women got the right to vote, men voted GOP by a 60-40 margin. And good little chattel baggage that they were, the wives meekly went along and voted with their men. But then the paradigm changed. Within a few years, women started getting some actual power:
- The Supreme Court ruled that abortion was constitutional, and made female bodily autonomy the law of the land
- A couple of years later the Supreme Court ruled in favor of birth control as a constitutional right, giving women even more autonomy over their bodies
- Later, federal laws gave women the rights to *gasp* open their own checking accounts, apply for a credit card, and even get a mortgage without their husband’s approval and co-signature
Women finally had some power, and a level of autonomy. And in the sweep of a whores court pen, their most fundamental freedom was taken away from them, the right of personal choice. What comes next? Their checking accounts and credit cards?
The imbeciles in the GOP thought that this would be just like any other controversial political event. The whiner bags would be up in arms, and in six months would forget the whole damn thing. Once again the GOP had its head so far up its ass it could see its lungs.
Not only are women supremely pissed, but so are the men who love them, and even the ones that don’t. Polls and focus groups show that young men, college age and beyond clearly see how this can affect not only their careers, but the next 20 years of their personal and financial lives. Polling shows that the issue of abortion is second to the economy in some polls, and in polls from women has surpassed the economy in importance. The record pace of early voting tells me that this issue is white hot, and the GOP apparently has no idea of the tiger they’ve got by the tail.
The GOP Anti Trump Rebellion – A little recent history. Back in 2008, it was national news when conservative former General and Secretary of State Colin Powell broke ranks and endorsed Barack Obama for President. Sadly for Obama, that single defection pretty much summed up his support from notable Republicans.
Kamala Harris has, thanks to the absurdity of Traitor Tot making one more run for it assembled a list of conservative, high ranking GOP politicians that, at any other time, would look like the dining list of a GOP fundraiser. There has been nothing that even resembles it since the whiny Reagan Democrats of 1980.
But it goes far deeper than that, all the way to the GOP’s core base. Trump lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton by 3 million votes in 2016, and not only Trump, but the GOP has been on the sh*t end of the stick in every election since then.
I can’t even count on the fingers of two hands the number of GOP conservative groups that have sprung up to not only reject, but actively oppose Traitor Tot since 2017. And not just by voting. Many of these groups, like The Lincoln Project, Republicans for Accountability, and Republicans for Harris have actively taken to the airwaves and billboards to oppose Traitor Tot where it hurts the most, in the court of public opinion.
The GOP is throwing their heads back and howling about their early voting numbers this cycle, touting it as a sign of their enthusiasm for El Pendejo ex Presidente, and a sign of the blowout GOP victory to come. There’s just one small problem with that prediction.
The GOP hasn’t added any new voters in the last eight years while the base erosion has continued. And worse, that early vote surge is what I call robbing-Peter-to-pay Paul, only leaving them with a lower election day turnout. And the kill shot for the GOP is that many of the Never Trump converts are still registered Republicans. How many of those early voters have quietly gone into the voting booth and flicked the switch for Harris?
The MSG “Puerto Rico Is A Floating Garbage Pile Debacle – It’s actually funny when you think about it. A third rate, talentless “Open Mike Night” comic wannabe could personally derail the campaign of a presidential candidate that was the frontrunner mere months before. But that may well be where we’re headed.
Within hours of his racist sludge being broadcast the deluge of condemnation was intense, and it’s growing. Everybody from J-Lo to Nikki Jam to Lin Manuel Miranda all took to social media to slam Trump for the outrage. And today Bad Bunny put out an online video titled Garbage, which extols not only the beauty of the Island of Puerto Rico and its people, but spotlights famous Puerto Ricans such as major league ballplayers.
But that mental misfit didn’t stop there. He went on to insult Mexicans, and by association all Hispanics by quipping that Mexicans love to make babies, because they always come inside. Just like they did to this country, come inside.
There isn’t a battleground state that doesn’t have a sizeable Puerto Rican population, and they’re righteously pissed. Worse yet, the critical southwest states Trump must have such as NV and AZ have large Hispanic populations. Then add in the insane number of Hispanics and Puerto Ricans in states like Texas and Florida, both with incredibly tight Senate races that could tip the balance of power in the Senate.
In war they say that Generals fight the new war with the battle plans from the old war. And in politics that translates to Politicians always run the new campaign based on the last one. Hell, Traitor Tot is still relitigating The Big Steal of 2020 in 2024. But the world has changed, most notably population migration and demographics. And trying to run a campaign by insulting the largest voting bloc in the country, women, and the fastest growing minority population, Hispanics, is a recipe for disaster. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of scumbags. Don’t touch that dial.
I thank you for the privilege of your time.

Amen, brother, Amen!
No one, apparently, wants to talk about the Covid effect. But we know that since 2021, when vaccines became widely available, the Covid death rate has been higher in “red” districts than in blue ones. Anti-vaxxers are disproportionately conservative Trump supporters. How many would-be Trump voters are no longer around? It might make a difference in the swing states.
Trump is still running against Biden, not Harris.
Sad.
the media are still letting h8m do so, which is even sadder. all that attention to Biden’s slip, to try to divert from the boiling HATE of that ENTIRE RALLY, not just one “joke” by a not funny comic.
Biden didn’t even say that. It was just some more MAGA bullshit. What he said was:
“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter’s—his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and it’s un-American.” That is, Tony Hinchcliffe’s demonization of Latinos is the pile of garbage. Thanks to Seth Abramson for making this clear:
“So what did Trump (amplified by Musk) do? He edited the hell out of what Biden said.
“First, he cut the sentence in two.
“Then he changed the punctuation.
“Then he eliminated the context.
“Then he turned it into a MAGA rallying cry aimed at echoing statements made about certain MAGA voters in 2016 by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton (a comment that Clinton specifically prefaced by saying it only applied to “half” of Trump voters, but which was immediately treated by Trump and the media as applying to all).
“Then he turned the whole shebang into a lucrative merchandising opportunity.
“Then he turned it into an embarrassing publicity stunt.
“Then he leaned on his prospective future co-president Elon Musk to spread it halfway across the world on the fastest digital steed the South African emerald-mine nepo baby could find. Here’s the butchered version of what President Biden said that Trump and Musk gleefully spoon-fed to their supporters, in doing so not just lying to them all but presuming their lack of curiosity about the truth:
” ‘The only garbage I see floating out there is his [Trump’s] supporters.’ “
“A third rate, talentless “Open Mike Night” comic wannabe could personally derail the campaign of a presidential candidate that was the frontrunner mere months before.”
I keep seeing this meme everywhere — but it’s misleading. Trump was the front runner, I suppose, months before, or at least seemed to be — and that’s why so many Democrats got so very nervous about Biden being the candidate. But Trump was no longer the front runner by the time Mr. Hinchcliffe stepped up to the mike. In fact the whole Trump operation had been going off the rails for weeks and by that time was already so far off that nobody could even tell where the rails were, least of all the Republicans.
But it’s such a great narrative plot twist to say that if it weren’t for some nondescript excuse for a comedian like Tony Hinchcliffe, Trump’s unstoppable juggernaut would be heading straight for victory. The truth is really this: The prospects of a Trump victory are so horrendous, and the election reporting so badly done, that Democrats were still very, very nervous, and I don’t blame them. Too nervous to believe that Trump was truly heading for the shitcan. All Hinchcliffe did was make it so spectacularly obvious that we — and even the Republicans — could actually believe it. And maybe that by itself was a major accomplishment. But it wasn’t Tony Hinchcliffe that made this happen. It was Trump/Vance on the one hand, and Harris/Walz on the other.
YES LOVE IT SHARING .. but also I guarantee SENIORS heard that Trump will cut Social Security and Medicare!
AND this is just my cutie of the day
A couple of things:
Griswold legalizing birth control came before legal abortion. In fact Griswold was used for Roe because Griswold was decided on the right to privacy.
