These came up as I was busy working on my last article, but they’re worth letting you know about.

The first landed on The Rachel Maddow show towards the end of the broadcast. Apparently Ohio GOP Senate candidate Bernie Moreno did his contortionist trick. He not only shoved a foot in his mouth, then he went ahead and shoved the other one up his dumb, used car salesman ass.

In a poor quality video of Moreno appearing at a local gathering with supporters tonight, Moreno made comments something along the lines of, You know, this reproductive rights issue is overblown. There are many women voters out there that are over the age of 50, and for them reproductive rights really isn’t an issue.

Sh*t. News Flash for the Buckeye Motorhead. Menopause doesn’t exactly punch a time clock. Teri was past 50 when she went through it. And if I remember correctly, News anchor Connie Chung and her husband Maury Povich had a child when she was past 50. So the ignorance is stunning.

Moreover, the fact that a woman isn’t fertile anymore doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have daughters, daughters-in-law, and granddaughters that she wants to have the same reproductive choices she enjoyed. And the nail in the coffin is that Ohio has a reproductive rights initiative on the ballot this November. Way to make this thing a blowout, moron.

Here’s number two. Three former Chairs of the Maine Republican Party signed a joint statement endorsing Kamala Harris for President. And they weren’t gentle in their condemnation. They described the GOP way worked in and believed in as having become a cult of personality. And the only way to resuscitate the party is to cleanse it of Trumpism. OUCH!

And the third one is the Gold Medal Winner. MSNBC showed Trump at a campaign stop at a supermarket. While he stood there hawking his lams spiel about voting Republican, he was handing out US bills. Since I doubt that Traitor Tot ever even gave his kids an allowance, I’m betting that the cash came from either his campaign fund, or his Leadership Super PAC. Either way, buying votes is strictly forbidden under FEC law.

*Full Disclosure* I remember a similar situation, but different circumstances. During the Government shutdown, Maryland Democratic congressman Jamie Raskin went into supermarkets to hand out cash. Two differences. First, Raskin wasn’t running for reelection at the time. Second, Rasking had already publicly announced that he was donating his annual salary to his constituents during the hard times. And there’s no law against giving people your own money.

I don’t know how any of you can keep up with all of this bullsh*t when I can’t even keep up, and I’m homebound! But I’ll keep plugging away to keep y’all informed and amused.

I thank you for the privilege of your time.

  1. So, if we’re past child bearing age, we just don’t care about the women that are dying right now, not to mention the medical emergencies that are only tended to too late. As it stands, animals get better obstetric care than women. Also with the huge cutbacks to Planned Parenthood there’s a lot more venereal disease going untreated. What wonderful healthcare they are giving us!

    • They’re not GIVING it to you. You’re being charged for it.

“Health expenditures per person in the U.S. were $12,555 in 2022, which was over $4,000 more than any other high-income nation. The average amount spent on health per person in comparable countries ($6,651) is about half of what the U.S. spends per person. 23 Jan 2024”

How does health spending in the U.S. compare to other countries?

So the average American pays out $12,555 per year for ‘healthcare’ and gets $6,651 of ‘healthcare’ in return. And this gives Americans shorter lives and more maternal deaths than any comparable country -but huge profits for the ‘healthcare industry. -oh and nearly half of Americans don’t get this because they are uninsured -because they can’t afford the premiums.

Republicans won’t fix this, Democrats will.

      It’s not just abortion rights.

    • Apparently menopause makes women as selfish, self-centered, and stupid as republican men. Who knew?

This OH pol needs to be taken out of society before he harms someone. I don’t care wtf he does to himself, actually the more the better, but he is dumb enough to cause serious damage to others.

  3. Being as I’m a female, that last one pisses me off so much I would like to slap the man and send his 3 brain cells out his ear. And since I’m pissed I can’t really respond to it properly. Maybe later.

  4. Allow me to get into the Bernie Moreno weeds for a moment, and boy does he have weeds! He is definitely an immigrant success story (from Colombia) and good for him! He made a huge amount of his money for creating and selling a company called ChampTitles. It uses blockchain technology to track car titles across state lines with no need for delays and waiting weeks for paperwork! It is great for car dealers and the DMV! But, as a Republican, he is doesn’t trust that same technology to track voters across state lines. Wouldn’t it be great if we didn’t need all that old, hard to find, paperwork for voting? How about people moving to a new state and technology knowing where they are and their voter registration follows them and knows they are a voter who can vote only once because they didn’t have to figure out their paperwork? Blockchain technology knowing me from birth (or naturalization), registering me to vote when I’m 18, and easily knows that I can vote from anywhere in the US or overseas in the military or when I’m away from home at college! GLORIOUS!! Except that voter suppression wouldn’t be a thing anymore! How would my governor or my election board or my neighbor purge or challenge my vote locally when the national voter blockchain knows me from birth and knows that I vote regularly because IT’S. SO. DAMNED. EASY!!?! Of course, Moreno couldn’t make the money because he sold his interests, but maybe he could recommend that voting be as easy as getting a car title!! Of course, he just couldn’t be a Republican anymore…voter suppression is the GQP brand!! 🤬

  5. I am 75, hit menopause at 45, but my bff’s daughters are my second family, and I want them to have the same rights I did. Trump assumes that women only care about something that has a direct effect on them, and don’t care about any other generation.
He can eat my Victoria’s Secret bra,and bikinis, and if he chokes on the trend kids red lace, oh well…
