Au contraire, Trump fired him himself, and then sent all the other White House ushers home early, as he departed for Joint Base Andrews, as a final middle finger to the Bidens. National Review:

I am given to understand that Trump did leave a note of some sort for Joe Biden but so far as I know, the contents of that have not been revealed yet. It would be interesting to know what Trump had to say.
And as bad as this gaffe with the ushers is, it could be worse. Trump could have left a mouse trap in the Resolute Desk. Frankly, I’m surprised he didn’t.
Actually, its better that anyone that was loyal to trump should be gone, so the Bidens can start with a clean slate with people that they can trust!

Can you elaborate? Why is Biden not sharing the contents? I’m assuming that Trump told Biden how lucky he was, inheriting the great state of things that Trump left — that’s what he said in his farewell at Joint Base Andrews.
