I related this a few days ago, but it’s important. As Anthony Scarmucci, The Mooch pointed out a few days ago on MSNBC, since election day of 2016, more than 20 million Baby Boomers have gone on to their just rewards, and in that same time frame, more than 40 million Gen-T voters have become eligible to vote. And that likely doesn’t even count the 2+ million who came of age since election day of 2022.

Nationwide the trends are basically stable. At last count an aggregate average of all national polls has Harris with just about a three point lead. And today Super Steve Kornacki also pointed out that the gender gap, which had ballooned in Trump’s favor after Biden’s debate debacle, is now back to a Trump +7, which isn’t that far off from the +5 that he beat Biden by in 2020.

But as we all know, it isn’t national votes that decide elections, it’s votes in battleground states. And Kornacki’s got that covered for you too. And I’m glad he does, because by his own admission, what’s going on in the battleground states is in no way normal.

Normally about an 11-13 point spread in the gender gap is a wee high, but not unusual depending on the candidates. But in battleground states like PA, MI, AZ, NV and WI, we’re looking at gender gaps like 43 points, 41 points, 45 points and 47 points. And in most cases, it’s the women’s gender gap that is ballooning, with Harris up by double digits in most cases. Full Disclosure. This is a single poll result, granted by the reputable ABC News/Ipsos combo, but it will be important to see how close other reputable polls come in order to see a trend line.

Here’s why this is important. The Roslyn Village Idiot, Traitor Tot boasted at a rally that The abortion issue is going to be very small, almost gone. Now it’s back in the states, where everybody wanted it in the first place. Right. That’s why it’s in the top four in voter motivation in most polls. And women, the actual majority of American voters are clobbering Trump mostly by double digits in most polls.

And there are several battleground states like AZ, NV, OH and FL have pro choice initiatives on the ballot in November. And the Democrats are doing a bang up job of reminding women with Project 2025 that if the GOP has their way, a national ban on abortion will override state laws. Small issue my ass.

Which is why even in states like Florida and Ohio, which might be long shots for Harris, those ballot initiatives, fueled by insane turnout could make Sherrod Brown’s reelection easier, might just help topple Rick Scott in Florida for a surprise Democratic pickup, and a strong enough protest in Texas could doom Cancun Teddy Cruz.

The whole object of this exercise is to win the battleground states by margins large enough so that obstructive GOP tactics at the state level are puny and futile. And an overwhelming women’s vote, not only on abortion, but just to get rid of Traitor Tot once and for all, can provide those kinds of margins. And wouldn’t that be the sweetest payback of all?

I thank you for the privilege of your time.

  1. Why would they think that taking a Constitutional Right from half the voters turn into a ‘minor issue’ behind such other concerns as ‘the economy’ and ‘the border’ and any other ‘scandal of the week’ ?

    Idiots.

    • abortion IS an economic issue. nothing screws up a family’s budget like an unplanned child, especially if they have a disability. the cost of just labor and delivery is insane, and loss of mom’s income piles on more stress.

  2. colin alread seems to want to mirror cruz on the border, but cruz is killing him in adds. alread needs to go after the roe decision, but he seems afraid to do so. but maybe there is a deeper strategy, but from where I sit in front of my tv, cruz is spending 100 to 1 on tv ads against alread. I know alread has money. I just wonder where it is being spent.
